- Chapter Eleven -

Adam, Bree, Chase, and Leo had to leave for a mission, so you had to stay at the Bionic Academy. You sat in the Hydra-loop area, at the cyber desk reading as you fiddled with your clock locket. You noticed Douglas, Bob, and Spin place random objects around, but you didn't question it.

After a few minutes, the Hydra-loop doors opened as Adam, Bree, Chase, and Leo came out.

"I can't believe that they don't know my name!" Leo exclaimed in disbelief.

"Uh, it's very understandable," Bree stated.

"Don't worry Leo, they'll know your name when you're dead," Adam comforted, as he, Bree, and Chase walked away. Which you assumed was the living quarters.

"Why so sad Leo?" you asked, as you set your book down.

"No one knows my name. They call me the 'other guy,' they don't even notice me!" Leo exclaimed.

"Leo, calm down. They will soon. Just give it time," you stated.

"Okay," Leo grumbled, walking away.

"So, long story short. Donnie put me in charge of developing technology, for the academy. But only under trail basis" Douglas grumbled out the last part.

"Why just trail basis?" Spin asked.

"I honestly don't know," Douglas answered.

You just sat there, watching them.

"You tried to annihilate his whole family!" Leo exclaimed.

"C'mon, you met him. Can you blame me?" Douglas asked.

"Don't worry, big guy. I'm sure you'll wipe him out next time," Bob patted Douglas' shoulder.

"The point is, I have a chance to get back into my brother's good graces. So, I've been working on some new devices that are really going to impress Donnie," Douglas explained, "What do you guys wanna see first? The Stabber 2000? Plague in a bottle? Uh-oh, here comes the pencil bazooka. You can't erase the injuries this thing will cause," Douglas laughed.

"How would any of those be used in the academy?" Spin questioned.

"How should I know? This one with questions!" Douglas grunted irritated, as he gestured towards Spin.

"Look, Douglas. Big D doesn't want violent devices. He wants things that are going to improve our lives," Leo informed.

"Leo's right," you stated.

"I don't know if that's really in my wheelhouse. I have been destroying things for years, and now I'm suppose to help people?" Douglas asked, "Where did my life go do wrong?"

"C'mon, Douglas. You must have something," Leo pointed out.

"Well...maybe this'll work," Douglas stated, as he spun a white chair.

"Ooh, Italian furniture, I approve," Leo smiled.

"No, this is my lie detector chair. You strap somebody into it, and ask them questions. It analyzes their vocal patterns and determines if they're telling the truth," Douglas explained.

You looked at the chair, knowing that there was no way you were going to sit in the chair.

"I like it, but do you have anything in a lie-detecting hammock?" Bob questioned.

"Just try it out," Douglas ordered.

"Don't mind if I do," Bob stated, as he sat in the chair, "Wait, this thing's not going to zap me if I tell a lie, is it?"
