My door bell kept on ringing and ringing.

Who on his right mind would disturb a person in five o'clock in the morning?!

I was still sleeping for wattpad's sake!

It kept on ringing until I opened my door.

Why did I even ask?

"Hello~" he greeted happily. He was already wearing his school uniform.

I frowned and shut the door right on his face.

Why did I forget that he was just living across the house? I must take a mental note to transfer to another place til he goes away.

Then the doorbell rang again.

"What?!" I demanded as I opened the door again.

"Ill cook breakfast for you~" Eric said and smiled, one that says 'May I come in now?'

I rolled my eyes, as if I could do anything to go against him. I stepped aside and he went in happily.

His eyes sparkled and he marvelled the whole place, "Its been a while," he breathed.

"Huh?" I wondered.

He was about to talk then a meow was heard somewhere in my place.

Shoot.

Eric blinked, "Huh? Is there a cat here?" he peered in.

"Nope,I told you I don't like--" I got cut off because another meow echoed throughout the living room.

Then the black kitten appeared right in front of us and it approached Eric.

He bent down and let the kitten lick his hand.

He suddenly turned to me with a cheeky little smile on his face.

I looked away and I heard him giggle sweetly.

It was the homeless cat we saw before. For some bloody miracle I decided to take it home with me.

"So what's his name?" Eric asked as he caressed the kitten's fur gently.

"Lucky," I retorted and went into the kitchen.

He smiled, "A good name," and he turned to the cat, "Oh! Hello Lucky! Youre owner gave you a really cute and appropriate name huh? Do you like it?" Eric cooed.

The cat purred and meowed, as if it meant a yes.

Eric giggled in glee.

"I'll play with you later Lucky~ Ill cook a great hearty meal first," Eric said and followed me.

"So.." he didn't continue what he was about to say but I knew he meant why is the kitten here.

"I don't know," I answered in wonder as well.

He smiled and whispered, "You're changing."

"What?"

"Nothing~" and Eric started cooking.

A few minutes have passed and Eric was close to finishing.

I insisted to help but he really wanted to do it all by himself.

So I let him be. No use in forcing a person right?

"Are you gonna take twenty four thousand light years in cooking?" I said sarcastically.

He laughed, "Are you really that hungry Katie? Oh I never knew that you were such a glutton!"

I threw a monkey slipper at him that I wore and I hit him on the back, "Ow!" he pouted.

"Serves you right. My point is that it would be faster if I would help. We still have school you know," I noted.

"Yes ma'am," he giggled and he served the food delicately on the table, "Eat your fill."

The food seems impressive in appearance. I hope the same goes for the taste.

"Isn't this too grand for just a breakfast meal?" I asked and took a seat.

He sat in front of me, "Oh its not. That's how I just usually cook food," he said proudly.

I kind of think he's lying.. Around 99%.

Then his eyes fired with determination, "Besides, I cannot lose to my rival!"

I raised an eyebrow, "And who would that be?"

"Luke!"

I sighed deeply, "I told you, nothing is going on between us."

"Not yet!" he exclaimed. "But I wont let that happen!" he laughed like an evil cartoon character on televisions or for short, he laughed like a total maniac.

He kept on blabbering and I started to eat. Not minding him at all and I focused on the food.

My eyes widened and I blinked, "Its surprisingly delicious," I commented and I reverted back to my normal poker faced self.

I heard him giggle, "Am I suitable to be your husband now?"

I chewed my food, "In your stinkin' dreams!"

"Already happened," he smiled brightly.

I stared at him in horror, "The heck?! You freak!"

Eric just giggled happily.

As we finished eating we walked to school together.

As we were on our way, "Hey you only have eleven months left, estimated," I noted.

He pouted, "Yeah that's why I'm making every moment special... And Katie fall in love with meeee~" he pleaded.

He's still calling me Katie. Ugh.

"Gross dude," I grimaced.

He laughed, "Well it was worth the try," and we continued to walk.

Days passed somewhat similar to this and each day seemed as if a hole in me began to surface for some reason.

But why?
