8 years passed and I was already working in a publishing company named Wattpad.
I'm currently working as a writer and an editor at the same time. I’ve had my successes and downfalls but everything went well all thanks to all those people who have helped me.
My grandmother passed away happily and simply contented just a year ago.
My parents are still working in Paris but we’re in good terms now and we try to get on gatherings as much as possible.
I also never saw Luke after that day in the cemetery. I guess he had something else to do.
A lot of things happened in those eight years and I can confidently say that I’ve been happy in those times.
“Ma’am we’re here,” the taxi driver told me and I thanked him as I handed him my payment.
I stepped out of the vehicle and smiled to myself.
I was in Venice, Italy. I wanted to work on my next story here, hoping that I would find inspiration.
Then a soft meow made me look down at my feet, “Hey Lucky and Snow, make sure to follow me okay? I can’t afford loosing you two here, they eat cats here,” I joked and laughed. But the two cats purred on my foot.
I started to walk around exploring all the places and I started to take down notes in my new black notebook.
I’ve started to have a set of these notebooks at home, all filled with different stories from the different people I’ve met.
Then something caught my eye, I saw a gift shop and I smiled as I went in.
I saw different items and I saw different people inside.
Others were families, couples and others were friends.
They all had someone with them today.
But I too have Lucky and Snow, who were waiting patiently outside.
Then a shiny object caught my eye, it was a snow globe.
I smiled and looked at it and realized it was the same one Eric bought before.
I wondered where he placed all those stuff he bought?
I shook my head smiling and went out of the shop from just buying cute pendants for Lucky and Snow.
“Come again ma’am,” the shop keeper smiled at me and I smiled back.
“Let’s go,” I looked at Lucky and Snow while they were grooming their selves after I placed the pendants on their collars.
They followed me as I started walking again and I saw a lot of good places.
I took a rest on one of the nearby cafés.
As I was taking a sip of some warm tea someone called out my name.
“Kate?”
I looked around and saw him and I blinked, “Omi!” I smiled at him.
“May I?” he gestured over the chair in front of me and I nodded, he sat down, “So what brings the most famous writer all over the globe here?” he smiled.
I laughed, “Don’t stress it out. And I’m just here for some inspiration.”
He nodded and smiled, “But you know, winning several noble awards more than five times in a row is not something you could ignore,” he grinned.
