“Thanks for tonight,” I said as Omi walked me to our door.

He smiled sweetly and placed his arm around my waist pulling me to his chest, “Thank you,” he said sweetly.

I let myself indulge in the sweet scent of his cologne and I closed my eyes.

“Omi I like you,” I whispered shyly and I heard him chuckle heartily.

“Kate,” he grabbed me gently by my shoulders and looked at me. His eyes looked so sweet and kind. I felt my knees go wobbly.

“Hm?” I hummed as I looked back at him.

My heart started to pound loudly, so loud that he might even be able to hear it.

He just smiled at me and he drew his face closer to mine, it was the same as that time when Eric…

Wait why am I thinking of him right now?

I’m with Omi right now.

For some peculiar reason everything went extremely slow, but I could still see Omi’s approaching face.

His eyes were starting to close while mine were still wide open like an owl’s.

I’m okay with him kissing me right? I mean I do like him.

“Eric,” I said under my breath and Omi abruptly opened his eyes.

I just blinked in utter shock.

“So that’s his name,” Omi chuckled and placed his hands in his pockets and shook his head sadly.

“Omi…” I didn’t know what to say.

“You may like me but you love him,” his hand brushed my cheek.

I choked, “I what?”

He blinked at me a bit surprised and laughed, “My little Kate is quite naïve eh?”

I frowned, “What?”

He patted me on the head, “Find some time to know what you really feel,” he smiled sweetly at me.

“Omi,” I called out softly. I just hurted another person again, and this time someone whom I’ve come to like.

He pulled me into an embrace, “I love you Kate and I’ll be here when you need me.”

This time I pulled away and shook my head, “Thank you. But promise me you’ll find someone who would love you too.”

He blinked for a moment and grinned, “Sure, I’ll let you know when I find her.”

I nodded, satisfied.

“Thanks again Omi,” I said happily.

“You’re welcome, take care and see you soon,” he said and kissed my forehead.

I watched him leave and I finally got in the house.

Going in, I decided to take a warm shower to relax myself.

I wore my bath robe and went out into the veranda; I was staring at the starry sky.

Why was it when I was with Omi I was thinking about Eric for almost all the time?
