A/N: Father!Law & Mother!Reader.

It was freezing outside. Even though he was actually used to low temperatures, Law had to say that this wasn't entirely comfortable. The cold wind ran wildly, and thousands of small snowflakes danced around with vigor, making it difficult to move and see what was ahead.

The doctor snuggled into his coat, his bad mood was evident. After the long day he had had, the last thing he needed was a weather comparable to a snowstorm. The only thing that helped him to see anything were the lamps that stood about two meters away from each other, and the passing cars from people who still dared to drive with this kind of weather.

But that wasn't the only thing. He would, from time to time, spare a glance at the warm light that came from a home. The thought made him smile. He knew that he would end reaching the place he himself could call home.

"Momma, when is Poppa going to arrive?" Your little (H/C)-haired daughter asked, supporting her head on her chubby arms which were resting on the table. You sighed, drawing a smile on your face.

"I'm sure he will get here soon. Are you hungry, sweetie?" She quickly shook her head, but her stomach had other plans, and it grumbled loudly. You laughed softly, and the three-year-old grunted.

"I want to wait for him." She mumbled lowly, her gray eyes glaring at the soup.

"But the soup will cool down if you don't have it soon." You warned, poking her nose, making her whine.

Just then, the front door was opened, and you swear you felt a rush of cold air enter the house before the door was closed. You saw (D/N)'s eyes light up as her dad appeared in the living room, taking his coat off. She didn't waste a second in getting up and running towards Law, who just smiled at her. However, in her way towards him, she tripped with a choked squeak, and you gasped.

"Is my little one okay?" Law asked, getting his daughter in his arms as she started sobbing a bit. "Don't cry, it was just a small fall, darling." He softly kissed her forehead, and you swear you were about to melt when (D/N) suddenly wrapped her her short arms around his neck, while he patted her back.

"And how was work today, love?" You asked as you dragged the chair for him to sit. He smiled and accepted the seat with the toddler still in his grasp. He sighed, feeling (D/N)'s small fingers play with the tattoos on his left hand.

"Tiring, as always." He grumbled, using his free hand to take the spoon and start eating. You frowned, but changed it for a reassuring smile as you leaned into him and kissed his cheek.

"But you are here now, so relax."

You were now washing the dishes, after Law had offered himself to pick up the table. A small smiled seemed to be permanently plastered on your face, and it was because of the joyful giggles that your toddler girl would let out. Right now, your husband was taking a break and playing with her. But if you only knew what things were going on in that living room...
