Peggy was so scared. She was in Lafayette's bedroom, creeping over to his door, and waiting for him to give the all-clear.

"Oui, he's in his room." Lafayette whispered so quietly, his breath wouldn't shake a feather. Peggy smiled weakly.

"Follow me." He whispered, using the same voice as before, and he cautiously put a foot down on the floor. Silence. And so this continued, Lafayette taking a step and then Peggy replacing his foot. They managed to get to the stairs without noise, and then Lafayette swore quietly. "Run down the stairs. Just go to the door." He says, like a commander from a  video game. Peggy waited. "Go!" he yells. Peggy bounded down the stairs, past the kitchen, and out into the open air. And she kept running.  And running. Until someone yelled, "Stop!"

Peggy turned around to see a panting Lafayette struggling to catch up to her. "You run tres fast. Slow down." He huffs. Peggy says nothing. "You are very quiet, as well." He says. Peggy shrugs. "Sometimes," She whispers.

Lafayette smiles. "We should go get something to eat." He says. Peggy smiles. "Okay." And so they walked, side by side, talking to each other. Peggy felt like everything was okay, and there was no bad in the world.

Dinner was great. They stopped at an Olive Garden, and got a table. As their food was being served, Lafayette asked, "So have you checked your email?" Peggy raised an eyebrow. "What?" Lafayette's eyes get big.

"You haven't gotten the email yet?" He asks again. Peggy pulled out her phone, and refreshed her email. She read the one from Alexander. Then, without a word, she stood up and walked into the bathroom.

Thankfully, it was empty, but she locked herself in a stall and read it over and over again.

"Maria Reynolds- Peggy Schuyler- is the one to blame."

And then she was sick.

---

Eliza didn't know that at the same time she was sick, her sister was doing in the same thing across town.

Eliza and Peggy had a lot of things in common that they didn't know. For example, until tonight, the both of them didn't know they both had sex with Alexander.

They didn't know they were both disgusted with him.

But, what surprised them the most, was that the both of them, loved him.

---

Peggy woke up the next morning in Lafayette's room, on the floor, clutching several blankets pulled off of the bed behind her. She turned to see Lafayette, face down in his pillow, asleep, with no blankets, even though he was clearly shivering.

Peggy stood up and threw the blankets over her french friend- a term she called him last night- and then sat on the floor. She pulled out her phone, and checked her Instagram- same as always, 16 followers and no requests.

She heard Lafayette stir. She looked up at him. He rubbed his eyes and smiled. "Good morning, ami."

Peggy smiled. "Good morning...Ami? Really?" She asked, recalling last night's events.

He shrugged. "More than that, if you prefer. What about, Good morning Amour?" HE asked. Peggy laughed. "Tone it down. It was just a kiss." She smiled. Lafayette paused. "Just a kiss? I feel like you think you aren't talking to me, but your sisters." He says.

Peggy didn't say anything.

Silence.

"Are you hungry? I was thinking about going to the Freedman's Bakery?" She asked. Lafayette smiled. Back to his old self. "Oui, if we can get out without Alex noticing." He rolled his eyes.

And suddenly Peggy remembered that happened.
