Sans kept an eye on her as monsters he had never seen before crowded Snowdin. People from who knows where prepared to fight for this girl to live another day. But something strange and unnatural was in the air. It sort of felt like the air was bubbly, and jelly-like. Like if they tried hard enough, they could jump and stay stuck in the air, just frozen.  (Y/N), strangely enough, gripped to Sans' hand in fear. Mostly monsters never rebeled. It felt unnecessary, was the biggest reason. For some reason, the first instinct of every monster was to lock themselves in their houses. Although, it wasn't as much of a surprise as when Sans gripped her hand back. Then, he spoke.

"I'm sorry."

(Y/N) only nodded and rested her head on his side. The armed monsters lowered their swords, happy that fighting wasn't necessary. Then, they saw it. A blinding light shining towards them.

A gateway. A warp?

A portal.
