A/N: I am not going to be doing the death scene, because I would never finish the chapter from crying too hard. Listen to the song, and the chapter picks up from the end of the song.

Theodosia sat in the dismal waiting room outside of where Philip lay. She sat impatiently, her eyes red and puffy from nonstop crying. She heard a scream emit from the room, and Eliza and Alexander emerged from the room, both crying. Eliza pushed Alexander's hand away when he tried to take hers, and they left.

Stepping carefully into the hospital room, her eyes fell onto Philip's unconscious form laying on the wooden bed. Theo cautiously went over to him, tracing her fingers over his palm. He didn't stir, and she hoped and prayed that he was just asleep.

"Philip?" she whispered fearfully. There was no response. Theodosia put her fingers against his wrist. There was no beat.

Choking back a sob, Theodosia put her head in his chest, searching for a sound. No thumping. She sat back up, her tears leaving stains on Philip's undershirt. She gazed at his face, running her fingers along his jawline. "I can't wait to see you again," she cried, smiling sadly. Maybe sooner than anyone anticipated.

Wiping tears away, she ran out, and sat down on an unoccupied sofa. Burying her face in her hands, she sobbed, whimpering every so often. She hadn't cried this hard since... since her mother had died. Thinking about her mother made her sob harder, but muffled her crying in case someone else was there.

*********

Philip opened one eye, checking to see if anyone was still in the room. The cold room remained empty, and he slowly pulled himself off the bed. Grunting at the pain in his abdomen, he went over to the window. A knock sounded at the door, and he panicked before laying back down on the bed.

The door slowly creaked open, and a dress rustled past, heels clicking against the hard floor. "Philip? It's Maria," a bold voice spoke out, cutting the silence.

Philip sat up, gazing at Maria. "So what's the plan?"

*********

Theodosia watched a woman she didn't know go into Philip's room, loudly opening the door and strutting in, barely leaving the door open. Theo listened in the silence for a moment, making out a muffled conversation through the walls.

She stood up, and slowly walked over to the door. I have to see him. One last time.

Theodosia pushed the door open, which amazingly stayed silent. She took a step into the room, her eyes searching for the corpse which lay on the wooden bed.

Instead, her eyes met Philip sitting up on his bed, gazing into the woman's eyes with an unplaceable emotion. Whatever it was, he had never looked at her that way.

Emotions surged through her, and before she could think straight, she made her presence known. "If you didn't want to be with me, you should have just told me!" She burst out, and fled the room, tears streaming down her face.

Philip hurriedly limped after her. "Theodosia!" he called out. He watched her flee, and went back into his room. Turning back to Maria, he sighed, putting his head in his hands.

"Now what am I supposed to do?"

OOH PLOT TWIST. If tomorrow's show rehearsals go well, I'll update tomorrow, but I'm just going to leave this here. Don't kill me, and please vote and comment!
