Barton--Chapter 41

~Y/n's POV~

I quickly got to my feet. I looked around, not knowing which way to go, but I soon made my decision when I heard gun shots coming from one of the hallways.

I took a deep breath and mentally prepared myself for what was to come. When I finally felt ready, I took off down the hall, leaving the portal I had opened previously to close by itself.

As I was running, I heard a couple pairs of feet trailing after me. My breath hitched as I became paranoid and even more afraid than I already was. I quickly closed my eyes, imagining the scenery of the South Pole. Once my eyes opened again, I opened a large portal on the floor behind, making those who were following me, fall through.

I smiled, celebrating my victory in my head. I continued running, searching for anyone I knew. My eyes brightened as my gaze fell upon Agent Barton. I was about to call out to him until a Hines, no Hina, no....Hydra! Yeah, that's what it's called. A hydra agent crept up behind an unsuspecting Barton and pointed a gun at his head. Before the man could pull the trigger, he had fallen through another one of my portals.

Barton spun around to face me. "Agent l/n! What the heck do you think your doing here?!" He mildly yelled. "I wanted to help. I have to show Fury that I can be useful, not just some person who make portals for other agents for transportation." I argued back. He sighed. "Well it's too late. Just stick by me, and don't leave my side." He said, all the while shooing arrow after arrow at Hydra people.
