The pizza arrives in about 45 mins and I pay shutting the door "What the hell happened to 30 minutes or less man?" Emily nods "Right?!" I smile bringing the pizza over to the table and we begin chowing down emptying a box in just a few minutes. Emily looks at the clock "It gets dark way too fast in this season." I laugh "Yeah but like night time." She shrugs and nods "True." We continue to eat as she swings her feet on the counter I grab her leg and she makes a silly face making me laugh "God you're so cute." I say and her face turns bright red
Oh shit I said that out loud!!
She brushes her hair behind her ear biting her lip smiling big "Thank you." I lean over to her kissing her softly and she kisses me back

"I love you." I say softly in the kiss and then the kiss stops

I slowly open my eyes and see her eyes widened and my open slightly her expression a mix of shock and confusion and then she looks down clearing her throat "I uh.. I should um.. I should go I think Dad needed me to do something and I completely forgot about it.. rain check?" I pause for a second internally sighing but I put on a smile "Yeah sure." rolls back letting her by "I'll see you later?" She nods and grabs her stuff walking out and I watch through the window as she walks home with her head down awkwardly looking back and then walking in her house "What the hell have I done?.." I look down sighing hard
