Today's the day if she passes this physical test she will be released and we can go home but I don't know what do I can't be separated from her again I look down at her as she sleeps she's so peaceful at this moment no pain no sadness just relaxation her dad walks in and I look up at him saying softly "Can I talk to you?" He nods "Sure let's go in the hall." I look down at her and scoot my arm from under her getting in my chair and rolling out to the hall he follows behind me and he crosses his arms "What's up?" I sigh "I want to take her with me." He raises his eyebrow "What do you mean?" I sigh lightly "She's gonna need me to get through this and I won't give up on her. I want her to come back with me." He just kind of pauses and then looks down the silence builds making the atmosphere of the whole situation heavy and stressful then he lifts his head "Are you ready for a real commitment?" I nod "I love her I'm not just saying that I truly do if me being here and doing what I have doesn't show that then I don't know what will." He sighs "Then you have to really commit." I tilt my head "Like what?" He hands me a wad of cash "I've been saving this for emergencies my girls happiness is an emergency. Get a ring." I look at the money in my hand wide eyed then back up at him in shock for a few seconds then I finally snap out of it "Yes sir." I head out of the hospital getting an uber to the nearest jewelry store and I go around looking at everything pacing back and forth when one of the ladies stops me "Having trouble?" I nod and she smiles "Describe her." I run my fingers through my hair "There's so much she's smart, she's funny, she loves my sense of humor.." she stops me "Describe her." I smile slightly "She's beautiful I love how her hair waves down her face the way her nose scrunches up when she giggles how she bites her lip because she doesn't want to smile big how she looks away when she blushes..I love her." The lady nods and goes around the counter and pulls out a sterling silver ring with three diamonds in a row across it the one in the middle bigger and the ring itself wraps around the diamonds like vines I smile "That's the one." The lady smiles and scoots it over to me in the box I hand her the money she takes it to the cash register and gives me a receipt as she does my phone vibrates

"Where are you the doctor says it's time!!"
"Oh shit!" I rush out texting her that I'm on my way and rush back to the hospital I come rolling quickly through the hall "I'm here!" She holds her arms out shaking "I know sweetheart. I know I'm here." She shakes lightly "No leaving loser." She laughs lightly I smile nodding "You got it." I help her up "Use my chair as a walker baby." She nods her legs shaking as she takes slow steps out of the room "There we go you got it." She nods groaning and stepping as light as possible I rub her hand on my handle bars "We're almost there beautiful you can make it." She slowly makes it into therapy room and sits in the chair looking down at her legs "Fuck." She starts shaking lightly "Hey hey you made it it's fine." She nods taking my hand and I squeeze it lightly "We can do this we can do anything." She kisses me softly I press into her lips kissing her deeply I'm ready to do this for the rest of my life
