Annnd we're back! It's kind of amazing how fast you guys do the assignments sometimes, damn. But we can't just leave you hanging like that so we're providing another game just for you! Also, I just want you all to cherish this moment. Why, you ask? Because this is the last Writer in Action of Cycle Two!
That's right, on Saturday, instead of going straight to Week 20 we will be reserving a week for Cycle Three. This means every member, old or new, will have to re-register. On the following Saturday, we will start Week 20 AND it will be with the Circle System. I know it's a lot to take in right now, but be sure to follow this account to receive more information and notices as time goes on.
But enough with all that stuff. Let's get into why you're really here. Welcome to Writer in Action.
The concept is pretty simple. We choose a prompt/theme and if you us it as your inspiration to write any literary piece (short story, poem etc.). Got it? Good.
You writing will be judged on:
1. The creativity and originality
2. Language and punctuation and grammar
3. How well you included the prompt
The prompt this week is:
"'Next time I see him, I'll slit his throat and bathe in the blood. Sure, I'll be wet with the velvet and stained with it's metallic scent, but I'll have the last laugh.' Hanna gripped the phone like it was a limp neck and peered through the soundless prison glass. Then, pressing the receiver against her lips she spat, 'And you'll watch.'"
And the prize is none other than *drumroll* :
An exclusive review from one of our very own admins! The winner, can choose any one admin to read three (3) chapters of their book and leave a review! Just in case you were wondering, here's the scale:
ohheyitsyasmine (Bee)- Analytical, Detailed, and Insightful.
classicoverthinker (Rolii)- Blunt, Detailed, and Hardcore.
YourFavouriteAuthor (Matt)- Invested, Polished, and Detailed.
The entries are to be posted in the comment section of this chapter, and shouldn't be more than 300 words. The deadline is Wednesday (January 11th) so get writing!
