Jimin had been growing more and more irritated, as the days passed and he noticed BoMi was never without a boy by her side.
It was increasingly frustrating him, that she was happy when they were around, but always angry whenever she so much as glanced at him. It wasn't fair, and Jimin hated it.
Maybe cornering her in the dance studio after hours and demanding that she admitted her feelings wasn't the best way to fix the problem, but Jimin hadn't really come up with any other way to get her attention.
"Leave me alone!"
"No, not until you say it."
"Park Jimin, leave right now or I swear I'll scream."
Her voice was lost the second he stepped closer, and she pressed back into mirror, her heart faltering in her chest.
"Say it, BoMi."
"Fine! God, fine! What do you want me to say? You want me to say that I loved you? Is that it, are you happy now? I fucking loved you, and you ruined it. You left me heartbroken. Is that what you want to hear? Does it make you happy, knowing that you ruined me so much the day you revealed to everyone that I was a lovesick fool who thought you actually loved me back?"
Now that he was hearing it, Jimin realized that he didn't actually want to know about it.
He regretted it. Oh, how he wished he could say that, tell her that he regretted doing that to her, how he knew it was wrong, and he was so sorry that he had treated her that way. But the words wouldn't leave his lips.
"I wish you had stayed away from me, I wish you would stay away from me. I don't want you around me."
"Then why are you holding onto me?" BoMi released her unintentional grip on his arm, looking at the floor while Jimin stared at her. He reached out, delicately holding her chin and pulling her face up, silently asking her to look at him, to please look at him, see him. "Your heart is so loud I can hear it."
BoMi wanted to scream, but she couldn't. She was frozen in embarrassment, and maybe, just maybe, she didn't want Jimin to leave after all. She wanted everything to be better, but that could never happen.
"Could it be.... you still love me?" If only BoMi knew how much Jimin wished it were true.
But she was scared, and she didn't want to lose to Jimin again, so she ran.
And Jimin decided that maybe he should finally give up.
