damn stairs

[damn stairs: takes place in their fourth year.]

THIRD PERSON

Harry was on his way to lunch in the Great Hall, but he was late so he was rushing. What totally slipped his mind was the one stair that always tricks you. As he was jogging down the staircase, he tripped on that particular stair and went flying. He tumbled down the rest of the staircase and landed not so gracefully at the bottom. He groaned, lying on his side. His arm was broken, but he didn't know that yet.

Lucky for him, one of his friends, Draco Malfoy was nearby and saw what happened.

"Harry!" He gasped, running to him, and avoiding the tricky stair Harry tripped on.

Draco saw Harry's arm bent in a weird way, and made sure not to disturb it as he picked Harry up bridal style and carried him to the hospital wing. When he got there, Madam Pomfrey gasped at Harry's arm and laid him on a bed. She asked Draco what happened and he told her.

"Don't worry," she told Draco, "I'll have this fixed in no time."

Two hours later, Draco was sat by Harry's bedside, waiting for him to wake up. Hermione, Ron, Neville, Seamus, Dean, Blaise, and Pansy were all there too. It wasn't too serious but they still wanted to be with Harry.

Suddenly Harry muttered something in his sleep, "Draco.." it was so quiet they almost couldn't hear him. "Draco..."

Everyone looked at Draco and raised their eyebrows. He shrugged, not knowing.

Then Harry's eyes opened, and the first person he saw was Draco. Harry smiled and whispered something. Draco couldn't hear so he leaned closer.

"Kiss me," Harry whispered.

Draco blushed, his eyes widening. He had always wanted to kiss Harry. He leaned in and softly kissed Harry. Everyone gasped and Draco and Harry smiled.

"Are you okay?" Draco asked Harry.

Harry nodded, mumbling, "Yeah, it was just those damn stairs."
