Home arrival

Around an hour later Cara has been discharged and Raf has quickly gone back to Cara's flat to get the car seat and then comes back.

He then takes her home to the flat, Cara stands at the door "well thanks Raf" she smiles as she goes to shut the door on him.

"Do you want any help with anything?" Raf asks.

"No I'm fine" Cara says and goes to shut the shut the door again.

"Caz, please let me stay for a little make sure Lewis is settled. I'd hate for him not to settle and I'm not there" he smiles.

"Okay" she says.

She lets him in and he takes his shoes off, "right so where's the Moses basket" he asks.

"In my room" Cara says.

"I'll go get it down and we can settle him down here" Raf says.

Cara sits down on the sofa and watches Lewis in his car seat, Raf comes down with the Moses basket.

He sets it up and gets a small blanket out, "Do you want me to put him in?" Raf asks.

"No I can do it" Cara says, Cara then goes over to Lewis and lifts him up gently.

He stirs a little and kicks his legs. Cara smiles at Lewis and raf slowly moves toward Cara before placing a gentle kiss on her cheek.

Cara just looks at Raf for a second before drawing her attention back to Lewis. "He's beautiful like his mummy" Raf smiles.

Cara ignores him and strokes Lewis's little hand. "I love you little one"  Cara smiles.

Raf sits there smiling at Cara "do you want a drink?" He asks.

"A glass of water please" she says.

He nods and goes and makes her a drink before bringing it back in for her. When he comes back in she sits on the sofa and he hands her her drink.

"You don't have to stay Raf" she smiles.

"I want to" he smiles.

"Okay" she says as she gets up and puts Lewis's car seat in the hallway.

He goes to pick him up "what do you think you're doing!" She snaps.

" Cara calm down, I'm just want to hold him" Raf says.

She looks at him "well he's asleep" Cara says.

"I'm not gonna wake him" Raf replies.

"Better not do" She replies back.

Raf carefully picks Lewis up, who stays asleep. He sits back and smiles down at Lewis, "hello you, how's my favourite boy" he smiles and rocks Lewis slowly.

"Hmm I think someone has a filled nappy" Raf smiles, Cara smiles not really hearing what raf says.

Raf gets up and grabs the changing bag and then lies Lewis on the sofa.

Cara watches him with a smile, Raf takes his nappy off and wipes him down, "oh see you've taken after your dad" Raf smirks.

"Raf" Cara laughs a little.

"Be proud of that gift Lewis" Raf laughs as puts a clean nappy on him.

Cara sits with raf who now has Lewis back in his arms, She leans against him slowly and smiles at him as she starts to become a little come comfortable.

Raf kisses her head, She just smiles and then kisses him back.

"I wish you could stay here forever" she mumbles.

"I do too, do you want me to stay tonight?" He asks.

Cara simply smiles at Raf and gives a small nod. "I'll cook us something tonight" Raf smiles, She gives another nod.

"You alright?" He asks.

"Yeah" she says.

"You're very quiet, why don't you go for a lie down and I'll watch Lewis" Raf smiles.

"I'm fine honestly" Cara smiles.

Raf lies Lewis down in his Moses basket "go Cara, you're exhausted" he replies.

"I'll sleep here if I'm tired" she says.

Raf rolls his eyes and watches Lewis, "I think we could really make a go of this" he smiles.

"Raf... no, you are married to Amy, you have a daughter with her... Raf this can never happen, you maybe his dad but nothing else... nothing to me, just an acquaintance" Cara replies.

Raf can't tell if she means what she just said or not, Cara moves away from him awkwardly.

"What's wrong?" Raf asks.

"Nothing I'll do get the spare duvet for you, for later" she says.

"Leave it for now I can get it later" raf smiles.

She sits there on the edge of the chair a little unsure of what to do. "Come on Cara tell me what's wrong please" raf says.

"You" she mutters.

"What have I done? " he questions.

"Got me pregnant" she says.

"And? Why tell me this now, are you off with me because of that?" He asks and she nods.
He smiles l himself and gets up, "just off to the toilet" he says.

She sits there quietly and watches Lewis.
