Getting to know you... again part 2

"I've got about 10 minutes till I need to go, so I can stay for another 10 minutes if you would like" he smiles

She nods and sits herself down.

"I'm tried" Cara sighs.

"Lewis is asleep so why don't you get some rest?" Raf smiles

She nods and walks over to the seat, "Cara why don't we take you back to the open ward and you can rest there" the nurse smiles.

Cara looks at the nurse a little unsure

She gives a friendly smile.

"Okay" Cara mumbled

Cara gets up and picks Lewis up and the nurse carries the bag with Cara and Lewis's things in.

Once Cara is in the room Raf has to leave.

Cara looks around the room to see two other women with their babies one.

She then looks down at Lewis, She lies him on her bed and sorts the cot out and brings it to a height she likes.

She then picks him up and places him in the cot "There we go sweetie" Cara smiles.

She stands admiring her son for a few minutes, She strokes his hair and just smiles.

"I love you" she whispers

Cara sits herself on the edge of the bed and looks around.

Not really knowing what to do. One of the mums smiles at her and walks over and peers in the cot. "Aww he's gorgeous, how old?" She asks.

"Two months" Cara replied quietly.

The women smiles and says "my little ones three months"

Cara nods and smiles. "What's his name?" She asks.

"Lewis" Cara says quietly

"Lovely name, my little boy is called George... and I'm Sarah" she smiles.

"Cara" she says

"Nice to meet you" she smiles.

"You too" Cara says with a small smile

"Can I sit down?" Sara. says

Cara nods as she doesn't want to be rude. She sits beside Cara and starts to chat to her.

After a while of the two talking Lewis awakens and starts to cry. Cara gets up and picks him up and changes his nappy so Sarah leaves her to it.

Once changing him she puts the nappy in the bin And sits back on the bed with Lewis lying between her legs.

She smiles down at him contently, She sits there quietly as visiting hours begin.

After a short while she picks up Lewis and hugs him carefully. She doesn't have an visitors and sits there quietly.

A short while later Cara is asleep on the bed cuddles up to Lewis.

She soon wakes up to Lewis crying.
She groans and picks him up, " what's wrong little man" she sighs as he continues to cry. So she decides to see if he's hungry

She goes to take the bottle from the side but hesitates and then takes a deep breath in and rolls her top up to see if he'll still breast feed as she's still leaking milk.

She slowly moves him towards her breast and after a couple of seconds he latches on. It's not as painful as she remembers but Lewis seems really hungry

She watches him and smiles a little, She looks up as she continues to feed Lewis and sees Amy walking towards her.

She try's to ignore Amy "Cara?" She says

"What?" Cara mutters

"Can we chat?" She questions.

Cara rolls her eyes and says "I'm busy"

"Hardly" Amy replied and Cara glares at her.

"Cara, why is Raf looking after your baby? I mean can't your mum? Everyone knows that baby is the result of a dirty one night stand" Amy replies.

"Fuck off" Cara snarls.

Amy stands there and watches Cara, "why are you so shifty?" Amy asks.

"Tell me" Amy adds.

"Leave me be" Cara says.

"No" Amy says.

Cara lies Lewis down in his cot and sits back down.

"Why has Raf been looking after that" Amy asks.

"Because I haven't been very well" Cara replies.

"Well why don't you track down the man who got you pregnant, that's if you know who it was" Amy says.

Cara looks at her in shock, "actually for your information I know who the father is" she replies.

"Ha ye whatever" Amy laughs.

Cara doesn't say anything to her.

"It's probably the result of a one night stand" Amy laughs.

"He's not" Cara replied.

"Whatever let's you sleep at night" she laughs.

Cara starts to become annoyed by Amy's presence and suddenly has an outburst. "He's Raf's, okay? My baby is Raf's... I slept with his... I got pregnant, it was all an accident. Okay?" She snaps.

"What" Amy snaps back

"Yes you heard me, I slept with Raf... he loves me, he got me pregnant. Raf loves me Amy, you know he wants to divorce you" she says.

A nurse comes in and asks Amy to leave

Amy refuses and walks over to Cara and grabs her by her hair and drags her off the bed.

The nurse calls for security

"Stupid bitch, sleeping with my husband... you have no right!" Amy shouts as she hits Cara.

Security rush in and restrain Amy as she try's to hit Cara again

One of the mothers on the ward quickly moves Lewis and lies him on her own bed just in case.

The nurse helps Cara back onto the bed as security pulls Amy towards the door

"Bitch!" Amy shouts

Security escort Amy out of the building

Cara sits there and starts to cry.

The nurse attempts to comfort her and says "would you like anything Miss Martinez?"

She shakes her head as she doesn't know what she wants.

The women who has lewis brings him back over to Cara

"Thank you" Cara mutters.

The women smiles at her

Cara lies herself down and tries to get over what's just happened.

She looks over at Lewis

She watches him kick his legs in the air.

Then sits up a little so she can see him better

She takes her phone off the side and takes some photos of him.
