Y/N ~
Nervousness ran through me as I arrived to my new apartment. It's hard to fathom the fact that I'm actually going to be living with somebody I don't know. Of course I know what his name is, but I still feel weird about the whole situation.

I ride the elevator up to the 4th floor, anticipating what might be new life for a year. I insert my keys into the metal lock on the door as I enter the room.

"Hello?" I called out into the apartment as I placed my purse down on the nearest kitchen counter top. A sudden pattering of footsteps was heard in an approaching manner before I locked eyes with my new roommate.

"Y/N?" The tall brunette asked, holding his large hand out for me to shake. "Yeah, I'm guessing your Shawn." I responded, shaking his hand. "I am. It's so great to finally meet you! Well, it's going to be just us two for a year."

"It seems so crazy to me. I've never done this before."

"Don't worry, Y/N. It'll be fun! Now let's bring your things upstairs." Shawn held my hand firmly in his as he and I made our way to the parking lot to retrieve the few boxes I had. However, I constantly kept getting distracted by his charming jaw structure and curly hair that drifted upwards at the top of his head. I'm guessing he's not a fan of barber shops. I don't mind.

"Only 4 boxes?" Shawn asked, grabbing hold of the medium sized packaging box. "I don't have that much stuff. Just some clothes and books and stuff." His hand, the one most visible to me, was covered in veins prominent under his skin.

"What books do you like to read?" I carried another box up with him as he tried to continue our so far dry conversation.

"American classics. I'm reading Catcher In The Rye right now. I loved it in high school so I decided to re-read it." Once in the apartment, we placed the two heavy boxes into my new room only to go back down and get two more.

"Not a big fan of reading, but I'm a big fan of you, so I guess I'll try it out." We chuckled. The air thickened with silence. I guess there isn't much to blame due to the fact we just met each other.

"I was wondering if you wanted to cook dinner or go get some for tonight." Shawn raised his eyebrows as he and I grabbed the last two cardboard boxes out of the trunk of my car.

"Dinner?" I grew curious.

"Yeah, unless you have plans or something..." Shawn innocently mumbled, seeming to feel awkward.

"I don't have plans, trust me, I never do." I chuckled as I partially accepted his offer for dinner.

"I was thinking of making us dinner since it's your first night here, but I don't know what you like."

"Anything you make is probably really good."

"Then how about some chicken alfredo? It's simplistic and delicious." He shot a smile at me as I nodded my head.

Dinner was a flirtatious experience for Shawn and I. Or at least I think it was. Smirks and cheek blushing was constant for the both of us. Eyeing his lips was an unexpected action for me to do, though. I always looked at someone's eyes when they talked, but Shawn's lips were something else.

He and I had finished our meals nearly an hour ago, yet we continue to stay seated at the table and get lost in each other's lust.

This kind of connection we have is stronger than any relationship I've had. Can't tell if I'm truly falling for someone I barely know or it's simply me being delusional.

Ok! It's short but a goodie. I'm writing like 5 imagines at once and I'm trying to manage them all lol.
