Chapter 21: Keep the act

~Kate's pov~

I woke up and I yawned, I got no sleep after what happened last night, my head hurt but, what hurt

The most was my heart, after everything yesterday, I got weak, and Dom took that opening

I'm such a fool, how could I let my emotions do that?

I got out of bed and looked at my vanity mirror, my hair was so messy, looked like a rats nest

I brushed it out, how come no one in my family changes, or ages, but I do, it doesn't make sense

Even though basicly everyone in my family has been a shinigami, I am too, so why am I aging?

I brushed out my hair and let it down, I still have school, so I should try to apologize for what I said

To tatsuki and inoue, they didn't do anything, they are just very sad, but death does happen

It must happen, so we can all learn and know the stage of grief and sorrow, I'm only 9

But I was taught to act almost 10 years older, I don't mind I just wish, that I can stay and be allowed

To act as old as I want, and not get in trouble, or caught, and have my family there,

I sighed and I put a pair of leggings, black and a kawaii shirt on which was white and I put sneakers on

I walked into the living room and I widened my eyes, I couldn't bieleve what I was looking at

Ichigo, he was sitting next to Yourichi and she was in cat form, not talking so he pet her and looked at me

My dad was still sleeping so ichigo stood up and hugged me, my face got red, i usually have to hug him

"I'm sorry" I heard him mumble and I hugged back.

"It's ok, you were just mad, and grieving, it's fine"

He stepped back and gestured towards the door

"Do you want to walk to school with me, I'm just not allowed to walk to school by myself and-"

I smiled and rolled my eyes

"Come on then, ms. Li might give us a detention if we even think about being late"

I grabbed ichigo by his bookbag and we left, I saw Yourichi smiling when I left

We got to class on time and I saw tatsuki and inoue's face light up, I smiled and Ichigo waved

"Ichigo! You're finally back and-"

Inoue trailed off when she saw me and she looked down

"I'm sorry, for what I said to you yesterday, I just- I wasn't in the best of moods"

Tatsuki just laughed and smiled

"Well, for once we got a apology out of Kate Hitsugaya, I need to take a photo"

I rolled my eyes and inoue giggle, while ichigo was doing something with his shirt, weird...

"Hey ichigo, what are you doing?"

"I think this shirt either smells like strawberries or oranges"

Tatsuki basicly had a "why, just why?" Look on her face

"Maybe you should stop smelling ur shirt and put your head in a book"

"Shut up tatsuki, I read all the time"

The teacher came in and we did all of our school work, at the end of the day I went home with

My dad and he looked like he didn't even brush his hair, he looked like one of those drunks
