Chapter 57: His death

-Inoue pov-

we just waited because the others finished that espada off and then I smiled in surprise

Ichigo started to wake up and then I saw the black on Kate's hair come off like ashes and her hair was red again

her body went back to normal and then when she opened her eyes they were hazel both of them

"Hitsugaya Chan!"

everybody was here by Kate when she woke up

Toshiro, Izaru, Ichigo, Her dad and Yourichi, Shuuhei

Ichigo was already awake and he sighed

"She's back guys"

he stood up and went to stretch out then Kate shook her head groaning

"Hey guys, sorry about that-"

she stopped when her necklace glowed and she just froze

"W-what happening?"

I asked then Kisuke lowered his head to look at her more closely and it was like something he just realized, and feared

"the memories her mom put in their, are being given to her"

the memories, of her mother I would suppose, but that's not.. A good thing..

after a couple of minutes the necklace stopped glowing and Kate opened her eyes in shock, like she couldn't believe something had happened right before her eyes.

"Mom was-"

she said suddenly and looked at Shuuhei with tears and stood up, walking over to him

all she did was tear up more and hug him as he had his head lowered

"I'm sorry, Kate"

he said then she started to cry which made me tear up

The truth hurts, but it had to be done.

••••••Kate pov•••••

Mom, why, Mom why did you do it?!

I thought, the pain, those memories...

why did you sacrifice yourself, why did you leave me, why in the hell did you leave Shuuhei, but why wouldn't he tell me this..

I started to feel slight tears go down my cheeks, as I looked at Shuuhei and he gave a frown as I slowly ran to quickly be in his embrace, turning into a hug.

"it was to protect us, she wanted us to live normal lives and someday still be brother and sis-!"

he ended when he gasped and I felt him get stiff and I looked at my stomach and I was immediately pushed by him to stand back as I saw Shuuhei with a blood coated blade in the chest, and blood was everywhere, splattered on his chest, and as well as mine.

"K-kate s-sorry-"

he said and the sword was pulled out making him fall on me and i caught him, as his body grew a bit more cold in my hands and my eyes were in shock

I teared up more, having my hands on his shoulders as he coughed and more blood came out onto my chest and his body grew more cold and my arm was immediately pulled and I saw it was ichigo and he had a stern look, but I just kept my painful eyes on what just happened right in front of me, my own loved ones death.

I looked at Shuuhei's body and I covered my mouth, not trying to believe, that he was dead, he's not dead..

Shuuhei.. Your not dead... Your not.. . Dead...

I looked up and saw Racern smiling wiping the blood off his blade

"Oh my, I thought I could kill two birds with one stone, oh well..~"

he said chuckling and I glared at him, feeling so much anger in me

"Is the kitty cat gonna scratch me, oh im so scared maybe you-"

i got mad and right when i was ready to run to him my dad had him at blade point

"Make a move or say anything else, I could kill us any moment"

he said coldly and he chuckled sighing

"so I see where Kate gets her empty threats and cold looks from-"

right before he could finish he gasped as dad ran past him, without pulling his sword out Racern had his throat cut multiple times and his stomach as well in his chest, as they dropped with blood down his white uniform.

Racern gave no movement, and he was finally dead, but so was Shuuhei.

i ran over to Shuuhei's body and put his head in my lap crying,

"Shuuhei, im so sorry, Shuuhei, Shoohie, please come back-"

I said putting my forehead on his remembering our childhood

the way he picked on me.

the way he treated me as a sister.

the way he wanted to always protect me.

the times where we did protect each other.

the bond we shared with mom.

the reason he kept being a soul reaper when he was older.

the reason he kept fighting.

the reason we weren't lonely.

because we love each other.

we are family, no matter what

I kept going on as I could hear Inoue crying and a few other people

"Shoohie, you're not dead, fight, keep fighting, come on Shoohie, Wake up......!"

i said with tears falling on his lifeless face

"Kate stop-"

I heard Izaru put his hand on my shoulder and I tightened my grip on Shuuhei's hand

"He's not... hes not..."

i said trailing then he sighed as he went to put Shuuhei's arm over his shoulders

"Im heading back to the serietei, I'll tell the head captain everything, come on captain-"

my brother rubbed my shoulder then walked in the open Senkaimon to the serietei, as it closed I dropped my head to my hands

Shuuhei, i didn't say good-bye to you, not officially, it was my fault, it's
