Chapter 56: You gotta love her

~Inoue pov~

I found Izaru and we were working our way back to the bridge place as we did we sensed large reitsu ahead and we looked at each other while staring at the doors to the building

"I think this is where it all ends Izaru- kun"

I said then he shook his head

"Orihime, this is only the beginning-"

he said lingering the sentence on

"-to a never ending war"

he finished and I lowered my eyes

He is right, after everything what if theirs an espada group after this? or another one after that.

he opened the doors and we saw blood splatter around but we focused on the hole in the wall and I gasped

"do you think-?"

"Yea, they took it outside its not good and-"

he started then I felt a hand on my shoulder and saw one on Izaru's and we slowly turned around

"- and I think your a bunch of worry bodies!"

it was Yourichi sama!

"Yourichi sama, why are you here?"

I said and she frowned

"To take Kate home, what else?"

she said and I grinned a bit

"Well, then let's meet the others outside then"

Izaru said and we all nodded jumping through the hole in the wall and saw a frightening scene

Shuuhei was banged up fighting a girl with large breasts who was laughing insanely

I saw Kisuke sitting on the ground just looking over

Ichigo and Dom's bodies!

i ran over to Kisuke while Yourichi helped Shuuhei and Izaru went to help them out

"Kisuke are they-?!"

I started almost crying then with a straight face he sighed

"No Orihime, Ichigo is just getting Kate out"

I gave a questioned look and he pointed to Dom

"Inside Dom is using Kate's body but her soul is still in there so he's getting her soul and at the right time I'll do my part"

he said and I nodded, I put my hands up ready to heal Ichigo then Kisuke cleared his throat

"interrupting will make him loose her"

i put my hands down and lowered my head

Kurosaki Kun, please get Kate back

I panted and looked at Dom exhausted also and I scoffed

"You. will die. first!"

she came at me saying that and I blocked her throwing back her body and I grabbed her by the collar and glared at her

"Get a taste of your own medicine, Demon"

I walked over to the lake and held her body over it

she started to laugh and I gripped her dress collar more firmly

"After all of this will she be the same loving friend you know, or will she be just a hollow shell with a brain?"

she said and right when I was about to drop her I felt a hand on my back and I looked back

"Ichigo, think about this, will this help weaken or make Kate stronger?"

i heard Zangetsu and Isighed and dropped Dom on the grass with her saying ow

"I don't even know why i-"

I started then she stood up, lowered her head, and dropped her sword

"Ichigo Kurosaki, did you know that in this girl's family, all the women had that necklace for a reason?"

I looked at the necklace and then looked at her

"to scare off demons right?"

I said and she shook her head

"All of the women born in that family are in a curse with demons, at a young age the women obtain a demon from a tragic event somehow and then their souls are fused together, making one and becoming their power, that necklace removes the zampaktou and acts as a blade releasing the power at the woman's finger tips, also it controls the demon so it doesn't fully control the host, in return the demon can give some power at times making the host powerful enough to defend herself"

she said and I looked at the necklace and then at Dom as she went to her knees and put her face in her hands, at the same time her hair wasnt flowing with darkness, it was getting a bit lighter

"I didn't mean to hurt her so bad, I just, wanted power and it went over board-"

she said and I smiled a bit and walked over to Kate and took the necklace

then I looked at her and smiled a bit again

She is a head ache, but still you gotta-

i put the necklace over her and I saw it go different colors then glow red and I realized the grass was getting greener and the moon was its normal color and there were shooting stars everywhere, and the broken house was going back to what it was, and the lake was blue again, slowly it was going back and Kate's clothes came back on her body, her powers were back and I looked at Dom walking to the fixed house

"Geuss I'm going to turn in, see you later-"

she started to walk to the house and I smile a bit

"Wait Dom-!"

I heard Kate and she was weakly holding her hand out

"What do you want?"

she said coldly then Kate smiled

"Thanks. Brat"

she giggled then Dom walked in the house slamming the door and I looked at Kate

"Kate are you alright now-?"

I said then she stood up and looked at me with anger

"Why the hell did you come for me, you could have killed yourself and-!"

she was yelling and I just pulled her in for a hug and I felt her face get warm against my skin

"I had to get you Kate, I just-"

I trailed off and she hugged back tighter and I felt tears go down my stomach

"-it was so cold, no one was there and i was forgetting everything, even who I was and then-"

she said and I looked at her and she smiled sniffling

"I saw you, you and Shuuhei, and I got so happy, i wanted to talk and fought, I was in control for a split second until I lost it again, but I gained hope then"

she said and I smiled back at her

"Kate, you have scratches and bruises all over your body, I'm sorry-"

i said and she shook her head

"its fine, but let's get back, we need to help the others"

she said and I nodded in agreement
