Twilight

It was the best day of the year, at least according to Jasper. His reasoning was simple, it was my birthday. My existence meant everything to him.

I woke up, got ready and stared in the mirror. I couldn't help but frown at my reflection. I felt strange as if something was wrong. I shook my head before making my way back to my bedroom.

A soft knocking on the door caused me to turn around. "Come in." The door opened and Bella walked in holding a small box.

"Happy Birthday." She handed me the small box, I opened the box only to see a pair of beautiful earrings. I looked up at her with a smile. "Oh Bella, these are beautiful, thank you." I gave her a quick hug.

"Knock, knock," Charlie's voice sounded from the door. We turned to him, watching as he came over to me. "Happy birthday, Angel." He handed me a badly wrapped present. I could already see what it was. I still opened it, smiling as I saw a boxset of my favourite show.

"Thank you, Charlie," I said as I hugged him. "Yeah. Rosalie is here, she said she's taking you to school."

"You've met Rosalie?" Bella asked nervously. "I have, lovely girl," Charlie said, not knowing the hatred she possessed for Bella. "She really cares for Angel, looks at her like she's a jewel."

"I better go. I'll see you later." I left my presents on my bed, before dragging Bella out of the house. If Rosalie was here, Edward wouldn't be too far behind. He wouldn't trust his sister around Bella.

Rosalie stood outside the house, standing by her car. She glared at Bella, who went over to Edward, who was parked next to Rosalie.

"Happy Birthday, Angel," Rosalie said as she hugged me. She opened the passenger door allowing me to sit next to her. I was surprised not to see Jasper or Emmett.

"Where are the boys?" I questioned. "They're riding with Alice and Oliver," she told him. "I thought I'd steal you first." I couldn't help but chuckle at her comment.

We drove to school while talking about stupid things. How I felt about being seventeen, how I put up with Bella, the usual things.

When we arrived at the school, I spotted Jasper straight away, he looked calm. We walked over to them and I immediately wrap my arms around Jasper's neck. "Happy Birthday, Angel" he whispered causing me to shiver.

"Do you know what I want for my birthday?" I questioned. "Enlighten me." "A kiss," I told him. He let out a humming sound. "That's a lot to ask of them," he whispered. "I'll be on my best behaviour." My voice was so quiet only those supernatural could hear.

Jasper placed a soft kiss on my lips, before pulling away. "We have to get to class." I groaned, though allowed him to take me to class.

The day seemed to go by quickly, with everyone saying happy birthday to me, even people I didn't know. I blame Jessica, she was a blabbermouth.

Once more Rosalie was taking me home, apparently, we weren't going to mine, but to the Cullen house. I didn't mind, I loved them all.

We walked into the house and I jumped as everyone shouted. "Surprise!" I couldn't help but smile as I saw a banner reading: 'Happy Birthday, Angel'"

"You did this for me?" "We did," Esme said. "Technically it was me, Rosalie, Jasper and Alice, but sure, we all did it," Emmett said. "Awe, the big bear did this all for me," I teased making him grin. "Big Bear? I like the sound of that."

"Present time!" Alice announced. We knew not to argue with the seer. "Here," Edward said as he gave me a present. I opened it to see a diary. "You can write down your thoughts about my brother, how much of an imbecile he is." I couldn't help but chuckle. "Thank you, Edward." I gave him a hug, one he returned half-heartedly. "You're welcome."

"My turn," Alice said as I pulled away from Edward. She gave me a present. "This is from me and Oliver." I opened it gasping as I saw the most beautiful black dress. "This is gorgeous, thank you so much." "I knew you'd like it, I saw you'd like it," she said.

I put my arms around her hugging her. She took a deep breath, sighing. "Jasper," Edward warned the boy. He pulled me away from his sister, wrapping his arms around my waist.

"This is from me and Esme," Carlisle said as he gave me a box, I opened it to see a pair of black heels, ones that weren't too high. They matched the dress Alice got me. "These are beautiful, thank you." I go to give him a hug, though Jasper doesn't let me go.

"We knew you'd love them," Esme said, unphased by Jasper's behaviour. He was just worried because of Alice's previous behaviour.

"My turn," Rosalie said. She gave me a small present. "Of course, it's from me as well," Emmett said. I opened the present to see a bracelet with a familiar crest on it.

"This is the Cullen Crest, something only the family possess and that includes you," Rosalie said. "Thank you so much." Jasper reluctantly let me go to hug the girl. After I hug her, I go to Emmet who span me around causing me to giggle.

When he stopped spinning, I was standing in front of Jasper. "This is for you." He held a small, unwrapped box in his hand. I opened it, gasping at what at saw. Inside the box, there was a beautiful necklace with the letter 'J'.

"Jasper, it's beautiful," I said breathlessly. "I'm glad you like it," he said. "May I put it on you?" I nodded my head, before turning around and lifting up my hair. He placed the necklace on me, before gently placing a kiss on my neck.

"Happy birthday, beautiful," he whispered in my ear. I turned around and placed my lips on his. He instantly kissed back causing Emmett to wolf whistle.

This really was the best birthday I everhad.
