Chapter Three

Eros

"SENYORITO!"

I turned my head to see one of our famers Mario running towards me.

"Yes?"

"I just said yes. And that doesn't even a valid excuse—" I stop in my midsentence when I realized that I'm using the language again.

This storm can be a big pain in the ass sometimes. And the most despicable thing that irritates me about this weather is it keeps slapping my face with its painful, heavy rains.

I released an annoyed sigh with the news I heard.

The production of Alta Puebo's local crops has shrink down to ten percent due to the continuous bad weather inside the isla and to El Nido as a whole.

And just when I thought that I'm starting to pull our lost, another storm ruined everything.

Fuck these shits!

"And what is it?" I asked as I helped Ka Cardio lift the kaing he's trying to carry by his own. "Ako na ho. Baka sumakit na naman likod n'yo."

"Maraming salamat ho, senyorito."

I turned my attention to Mario again and wait for him to tell me the rest of his report.

"Just do it!" I yelled.

I've always treated the island's farmer as nice as I could.

But I've been having a very bad day since yesterday and since I heard about Gael's fiancée visiting the isla, alone and with no apparent reason why.

"Pasensya na, Mario," I said.

I feel the remorse coming from Mario for what I did. Same with the shock and fear that has been plastered on the faces of the people around me.

It's that woman's fault!

"Senyorito," I feel a slight tap on my shoulder as the rain keeps on pouring on the whole island.
