Chapter 23 - Sleepy kitten

-Nanami's POV-

"Wanna go for a walk in the park?" Kei suggested.

"Now..that's a first!" I pointed it out.

"We've never done that before, right?"

"Yeah.."

"What's up with us and parks though?"

"Actually, I don't know." Kei chuckled.

We arrived at a park shortly. This time, it's a different park from the one we usually go to. A breeze of wind blew passed us and I shivered a little as I'm only wearing Kei's hoodie and my legs are barely covered.

"Yabai...it's cold.." I shivered a little.

"Remember that.." Kei held my waist pulling me towards his body. The warmth spread through my entire body as my face lands on his chest.

"I'm here to make you warm." Both of his arms reached for my back gently, hugging me tightly.

"Kei..what if someone is here?" I whispered.

"It's just a hug. Didn't we do something worse than that?" He chuckled.

My face heat up in embarrassment when I thought of that.

"You..."

"Hahaha" He laughed playfully.

"I won't do it again." I look at him cheekily.

"Eh! Why not?!" This time he's the one pouting.

"...."

"You liked..it?"

"Ah.." He scratched his head.

"Don't make me say it." He covered his mouth and turned his face to avoid me.

"If you're covering your mouth, I can't kiss you~" I teased.

He's so adorable when he's shy which makes me want to tease him more.

"Let's walk~" Kei held my hand.

The warmth from his hand helps to make me feel a little warmer. Somehow, Kei always feel so assuring.

"I like walking in the park at night..it feels peaceful."

I looked back at him and he responded with a sweet smile.

"Are you still cold?" He asked with concern.

"A little..but it's okay."

"We can go back now."

"Hmm..but I enjoy walking with you." I pouted.

"We can always do this again." He held onto my hands gently.

I nodded in response and we headed back home.
