CHAPTER SEVENTEEN

You know the moment when you really want to hit someone but you know that if you do that you'll be in really big trouble? I was feeling that right about now.

I didn't think that Mrs Norway knew how much stress she was putting in my life. English was one of my favourite subjects. I loved it because I loved reading and in rare occasions we allowed to read our own books or write stories. Doing either of those things was a like an escape.

But with Blake it was like nothing could ever tune out that cocky voice. "You know the more you try and ignore me the more I'll talk." I slammed my book down on the table, catching the attention of some my classmates. "Is it true that Conners called you a slut?"

"What?" I snapped at them. "Don't you have anything better to do then try and listen in on gossip? Get a life."

Blake smirked. "I take that as a yes."

I turned towards him. "What's it to you Blake?"

"I love the way you say my name. It makes my heart fly like a bird." He smiled wider and I cringed inwards.

"No, maybe that's your instincts telling you to shut up before I ram my book in your head."

"You wouldn't do that. That's your favourite book." He laughed and stretched his hands behind his head. "Talking about hurting people..." His voice trailed off and I glanced back at him. Blake slid a piece of paper across the desk.

It was the photo of Mel's wall. "Classy." He grinned. "But do you honestly think that she won't know it's you?"

I plastered the best impersonation of his smile on my face and laughed. "Jealous that those aren't photos of you Blake?" The bell rang and I gratefully grabbed my books as he glared at me. "You need to do a favour for me." I smiled sweetly at him and stood by the desk as the rest of the class piled out of the room.

"Hmm, I like that smile on you. It looks evil, I like It."

"Blake you like anything that pays at least the little bit of attention to you."

"Right now you're acting so much like Mel its turning me on."

I gave him a horrified look. "That isn't a compliment." I turned to leave, muttering to myself. "I think I'm going to be sick."

"Wait." I turned around and he sat up. "What do you want sweet cheeks?"

I bit my lip and took a deep breath. "I need you to take me to the popular table again."

"Why?" He inquired, eyebrows raised. "You hate that table and you hate all the hot chicks."

I swear this is going to be the death of me. "You can ask me that later."

"No." He said firmly, grinning. "If you want to get Mel's attention then sit there yourself."

I blinked, shocked at him. "Why?"
