Kaming dalawa na lang ni Leander ang naiwan sa table at wala ni isa sa amin ang nangahas na magsalita. Himala nga at tahimik lang ang isang 'to. He'd usually start spouting nonsense or flirt his way on every conversation. Also, I don't have anything to say so I just kept my silence.

Hindi naman bago sa lahat kapag tahimik lang ako, because I'm usually quiet and introverted.

He cleared his throat first before finally speaking, breaking the silence between us.

"Just ignore what my sister said. Oo nga pala, Scwhyze. I think my sister mentioned something about you helping her get away from her obsessed ex. Nabanggit niya rin na parang tinakot mo si Cyrus. What did you do? I'm worried at baka ikaw na naman ang napahamak. Pero wala naman siyang ginawang masama sa 'yo, right?" Nakakunot ang kaniyang noo habang tinatanong ako tungkol sa bagay na 'yon. But I don't know what to say, I mean hindi ko naman pwedeng sabihin na tinakot ko siya gamit ang isang baril?

"What do they mean by that, Z?" Salem inquired. I tightly closed my eyes when I realized I forgot to mention that little incident to them.

"We're gonna have to have a talk about this later." Cormac answered.

"Huh? N-Nothing, I just threatened him with words you know? And maybe pulled some strings to get the trick done, I guess?" I gave him a forced smile and mentally gave myself a slap in the face. I don't falter! I never do!

"Just.. just make sure you're being careful. We don't know what that jerk could do to you."

"If we're talking about being careful here, well you've got a lot to say for yourself. Dapat ay hindi ka umaalis ng mag-isa sa susunod Leander."

"Wow, you're finally calling me by my name. I like it." Mangha niyang sagot sa akin. Kahit kailan talaga ay hindi niya pinapansin ang mga paalala ko. Wala ba talaga siyang kinakatakutan?

I shook my head in disbelief. I was about to rebut when Salem spoke on the other line.

"Z! We got a code 925. I detected an unknown movement from within my premises. It's an unidentified person at patungo ito sa likod ng restaurant mo." Salem warned.

Agad naman akong na-alerto sa babala niya and instinctively gripped Leander's arm tightly. Nagulat pa siya sa kakaiba kong kinikilos. Dahil mag-isa lang siya ay wala na akong ibang magagawa pa kung 'di ang subukang ilayo ang buhay niya sa panganib.

"Why? What's wrong, Schwyze? Are you not feeling well?" Nag-aalala niyang tanong sa akin, but I couldn't answer him because I was anticipating another update from Salem.

"All crews on standby. Anong update, La ombra?" Cillian asked.

"The target is on the move. 4 o'clock in Clandestine's point of view." Salem answered.

"I'm sending the signal to Elio's men. They're heading towards the direction of the target now." Saka pa lamang ako nakahinga ng maluwag when Cormac said that.

I exhaled deeply at agad na napahawak sa aking dibdib dahil sa labis na kaba.

"Hey, are you really okay Schwyze? You look pale." He took a step closer to me and his other arm encircled around my waist.

"I'm fine. I'm fine, thanks." I assured him and took a step back. Hindi ako sanay sa close proximity with guys other than my family. Unless I'm engaging in a combat.

"You sure you're okay?" Pangungulit niya pa.

"Yes, I'm fine. Saan ba ang table niyo? Samahan kita pabalik do'n." I have to keep him to the safest place there is and that is with his family. His parents have guards with them all the time and I think it's what's best for him.
