"I need the files about the sales last month of the Continental Hotel Pampangga. Parang may napapansin kasi akong minor irregularities sa financial report na natanggap ko last week." I instructed Kristine.

This is the only time that an error happened on a financial report of my business. Kaya hindi ko na siya pinansin pa noong natanggap ko ang financial report. Pero nagtaka pa rin ako dahil kahit ang sales report ay panay rin ang delay. This is why I'm putting all my attention and time to this matter.

I can't let any more of this happen again. Is this a sign that I should pay them a visit? But I can't afford to leave right now. Ngayon pa kung saan marami na kaming nakukuhang impormasyon at marami na kaming nalalaman tungkol sa mga kalaban namin. We are so close to getting what we want.

"Is it possible to have the report by the end of this week? Ilang araw na kasing nadi-delay ang sales report na 'yan. It was due last week at hindi nila maibigay 'yon. So I gave them an extension dapat ay no'ng Monday, nasa akin na ang report. Pero hanggang ngayon Wednesday na, hindi pa rin naibibigay sa akin. What kind of incompetence is this?" I continued, my voice slightly raised at my frustrations. Ayaw kong uminit ang ulo ko ngayon at mas lalong ayaw kong mapagbuntungan si Kristine ng galit dahil wala naman siyang kasalanan sa kapalpakan ng iba kong mga trabahante.

Nothing irks me more than incompetence. Lalo na't ilang beses ko na silang binigyan ng palugit.

"I'm sorry Kristine. I didn't mean to raise my voice at you. Wala kang kasalanan. But they're just too frustrating. Ngayon lang 'to nangyari kaya noong hiningi ko ang sales report at hindi nila maibigay agad, I was lenient on them. Kaso hindi na naman nila naibigay noong Monday. Ayos lang sana kung nahabol nila kinabukasan pero anong araw na ngayon? If I won't show them my authority, hindi sila matututong sumunod." Paliwanag ko sa kaniya.

Sometimes, to build power over things, people should learn to fear you. After the line has been drawn, that is when you start gaining their trust, in return for their respect and loyalty.

Seryoso lamang na nakatingin si Kristine sa akin habang tumatango.

"Yes ma'am. Don't worry, I understand. I'll contact the Head Manager of the Pampangga branch for an update. I'll get back to you later po kung ano man ang sagot nila." Sagot ni Kristine.

"No. Tell them if they don't send me the reports immediately, I'll fire the Manager and the entire Sales and Marketing Department." I spoke to her with finality.

Nakita ko ang bahagyang pagkagulat sa kaniyang mukha bago ito tumango at nagpaalam sa akin saka lumabas ng opisina.

Maybe I was too harsh on the part where I said I would fire them but they needed to learn their lesson.

Napailing na lamang ako saka bumalik sa pagbabasa ng mga dokumentong hawak ko.

Good thing there weren't any more irregularities other than the Pampangga branch. I'll just wait for the sales report to be sent to me para malaman ko kung saan nagkaproblema.

Cormac and the others are arriving this afternoon. Habang sina Giada ay mamayang gabi pa o baka bukas ng umaga.

Hmm. Speaking of Cormac, I forgot to inform Kristine na darating na si Cormac mamaya. Should I ask him to come to the office? Para naman makapag-usap silang dalawa mismo.

Maya-maya lang din ay nakarinig ako ng katok mula sa labas.

I instructed the person to come in at pumasok naman si Kristine habang dala ang kaniyang clipboard.

"Ma'am, I think they'll be sending the report within this day lang po. Via electronic mail." She informed me.

"Thanks Kristine. By the way, I think I forgot to mention that Cormac's flight back to the Philippines is today. He's expected to land this afternoon." I told her. I know she's been looking forward to Cormac's arrival para makapag-pasalamat na siya.
