"What?" Umalingawngaw ang boses ko sa buong lobby because of what they just told me.

Apparently, ay dahil nga maraming mga naunang reservations ang nagawa ay hindi na nabigyan lahat ng guests ng Club ng sari-sarili nilang mga kwarto. So the Cavalry and the Management decided to make a compromise in this situation. The rooms of the members were changed into L2, it means in one room ay may dalawang kama.

But then again hindi naman lahat nabigyan. Dahil in the end, ang kwartong naibigay sa amin ni Leander ay isang Presidential suite to make up for the lapses. Fine it's the best one yet but it only has one king-sized bed.

I know my reaction must have been too over the top pero you can't blame me. How am I supposed to gear up? Where would I put my things? Oh God. I can't keep it in our room, at alangan namang magpabalik-balik ako sa kwarto nina Cormac at Andrea?

Gosh this is frustrating as hell. Pero wala na akong magagawa pa. My wailing could not give me a room of my own.

"Pasensya na po talaga ma'am." The manager apologized.

I heaved out a deep sigh at hinarap siya. Leander was standing behind me, talking to other staff together with the Grand Commander of their club. It's what they call to the President of The Cavalry Club.

"No, it's fine. Pasensya na rin kayo. I overreacted. Thank you for this." I replied at kinuha ang susi ng kwarto namin ni Leander na nakapatong lamang sa counter.

"Can you show us the way to our room? Leander, let's go." Diretsahan kong sabi doon sa manager na kausap ko. I need to get to the room fast, para malibot ko ito at makahanap ng puwedeng pagtataguan ko ng aking mga gamit. Then if there's no spot perfect for hiding my gear, I have no choice but to leave it with Cormac.

A staff led us to the third floor. Sa pinakadulong room na naiiba ang kulay ng pintuan ay ang kwarto namin ni Leander.

I tilted my head at a realization. Itong kwarto lang namin ang naiiba ng kulay dahil nga presidential suite ito. It's easy to locate and if all else fails, who knows kung may nakaplantang bomba rito sa loob?

Agad akong tumigil sa paglalakad at hinawakan si Leander sa braso. He gave me a worried look pero hindi ako nagsalita. I stayed calm kahit na napakalaki ng posibilidad na mangyari ang iniisip ko.

But I can't let Leander go in there without making sure it's safe.

"Leander, I changed my mind. Gusto ko pala munang magpahangin. Masakit kasi ang ulo ko dahil wala akong tulog kagabi." Sagot ko sa kaniya and pretended to massage my temple as if I was having a headache. The part where I said I had no sleep last night wasn't a lie.

"Oh, the suite actually has a veranda. Or if you want, you can go ahead in the garden first. I still need to settle our things inside our room." Sagot niya sa akin pero mas lalo ko lamang hinigpitan ang pagkakahawak ko sa braso niya.

I bit my lip at his stubbornness kaya wala na akong ibang naisip pa na dahilan kung 'di ang sabihin na gusto kong sumama siya.

"Actually, I want to take a walk at the garden with you. You see, it's been a while since the last time I had a vacation. Boring naman kung ako lang mag-isa." I couldn't look at him in the eye as I said those words. Damn it. I can't believe I'll be saying these words one day.

I'm only doing this to keep this guy right here, safe. Shit. This is so cringe.

I heard Leander sigh bago kinausap ang mga staff na nagdadala ng gamit namin.

"Excuse me, can you please handle this for us? Kailangan kasi ako ng kasama ko. Thank you." Ani Leander bago ako pinagtuonan ng pansin at hinawakan ang aking kamay.
