When I reached the empty and silent intersection ay pumarada muna ako sa tabi.

I turned off the engine of my car and sighed continuously.

"Let's get some air first?" Tanong ko kay Leander at tipid siyang nginitian. He did not utter a single word kaya nauna na akong lumabas.

I walked slowly towards the hood of the car and sat there, while waiting for him.

Hindi nagtagal ay lumabas din naman siya mula sa sasakyan at naglakad rin papunta sa harap.

I exhaled a deep breath bago siya tiningnan.

"Leander, I know you're probably confused right now. You're probably wondering why you're being chased or why was I holding a gun earlier. You probably have a lot of questions, and I can't promise that I'll be able to answer all of them but I'll try." Nakayuko kong saad.

I can't believe I'll blow my cover up through this. Damn.

He stayed silent for a long while kaya nagsalita ulit ako.

"I'm sorry that you had to find out about it this way but Leander, I'm with the—" hindi ko pa natatapos ang sasabihin ko ay inunahan na ako ni Leander.

"I know." He confessed. I quickly raised my head and looked at him with confusion and shock written all over my face.

"W-What?" Nauutal kong tanong sa kaniya. I was utterly shocked by his confession. At hindi ko alam kung anong iisipin ko. It was like my brain stopped functioning for a few seconds.

Alam niya? Alam niyang kabilang ako sa Mafia? Kailan pa? At hanggang saan ang alam niya tungkol sa sekreto ko?

"I'm sorry, Schwyze. It's not that I know everything, but what I do know is that you're hiding something from me." He continued. His tone sounded like he felt sorry for me.

A wave of relief enveloped my whole system. So there is a possibility that he doesn't know I'm with the Mafia yet, right? Gusto kong ako mismo ang mag-sabi sa kaniya.

"A-Anong alam mo, Leander?" I was hesitant to ask that question dahil natatakot ako sa magiging sagot niya.

"I know that.. you're a dangerous person." He said with all honesty in his tone. A pang of pain clawed my chest at his answer. I did not notice how my fists balled and my jaws clenched. I wasn't expecting that answer but damn did it hurt a lot.

You're right. I am indeed a dangerous person, Leander. My fists were shaking in anger at myself.

"Are you.." I trailed off. I could not even bring myself to complete my question.

Huminga ako nang malalim at mariing ipinikit ang aking mga mata.

"Are you.. afraid of me?" My voice was low. It almost sounded like a whisper. It came out in such tone because a part of me did not want him to hear my question, para hindi niya ito masagot. I let out a bitter laugh. Fucking coward.

He was about to answer my question nang pinigilan ko siya. If Leander says he's afraid of me, then I don't have any choice but accept it. And I will have to stay away from him.

"Wait, stop. Don't answer that yet. Kailan? Kailan mo pa nalaman?" Tanong ko sa kaniya habang nakatungo pa rin. I could not look at him in the eye. I can't.

"Remember when I called you for help? When I woke up in your hotel and the place was surrounded by men in black? When you dropped me home, I decided to investigate it myself. Bumalik ako do'n at sinubukang tignan kung may mga cctv cameras ba sa labas ng hotel niyo pero nabigo ako. Lahat ng CCTVs ay pag-aari niyo at wala akong access do'n." He narrated while I only remained silent. He knew all this time.
