CHAPTER 26: The Case of Mistaken Identity (Part 1)

“Alright, it’s done!” Razor exclaimed after clicking the last key on the keyboard. He then looked at me with excitement.

“Really? How tough is it now?” Roshan asked as he stood up and immediately looked at the computer screen. After a moment of scanning the monitor, his forehead curled and looked at us with confusion. “I don’t get it.”

Napangiti naman ako. Isinara ko ang binabasa kong dyaryo at saka tumayo’t lumapit sa kanila.

“I added an SMS notifier linked with your cellphone number boss. So if anyone other than us tries to enter the house premises, not only a voice activated alarm will broke off, a text message will be sent to you too,” nakangiti pang sabi ni Razor. He clicked another key and several CCTV footage popped out. “I also added new CCTV cameras on these parts,” itinuro niya sa screen yung mga area na tinutukoy niya. Napatangu-tango naman ako.

“I see. Thanks!” I told him with enthusiasm. “Good job guys!” sabi ko naman kina Sven na tumulong kay Razor kanina. Hindi kasi nila ko hinayaang tumulong sa pag-upgrade ng security system. Nasa teritoryo ko daw kasi sila kaya hayaan ko daw na sila ang kumilos para sa’kin.

“No problem boss! Just don’t forget to wire the payment tomorrow,” seryosong sabi ni Sven habang abala sa paglalaro sa cellphone niya. Dagling nawala ang ngiti sa mga labi ko. Knowing these guys, I’m sure they used high class materials. I just wished my mastercard would be enough to cover all the expenses. Ito kasi ang sinuggest nila agad nang sabihin ko sa kanila kahapon ang tungkol sa involvement ni Kir sa kaso ng hypnotist. We need to take extra precautions lalo pa at hindi namin alam kung kailan sila aatake.

Ginamit niya ang zero as ‘O’, const17 as ‘u’, const27 ang ‘R’, const38 naman ang ‘t’. Para sa E at A, ginamit niya yung Alpha functions. This guy really loves exploring his calculator.

“Eh? You can also use a calculator to form a message?” mangha pang tanong ni Roshan pagkakita sa calculator. His specialty is biology so no wonder he doesn’t know that it is possible with such thing.

“An intruder has been detected! An intruder has been detected!” napatingin kaming lahat kay Razor nang may boses na nanggaling sa speaker ng PC. Napatingin din ako sa phone ko nang may mareceive akong message notifying me about the intruder. Napangiti ako. So that’s how it works.

Agad namang humarap sa PC si Razor at saka nagpipindot ng kung ano sa keyboard. Tiningnan naman namin ang ginagawa niya. Zinoom nito ang area kung saan nadetect ang sinasabing ‘intruder’.

I instantly smirked when I saw her.

“What the heck is she doing here?” Nessaj whispered while looking at the screen. Mukhang na-stress ito bigla nang makita kung sino ang nilalang na maingat na nakapasok sa bahay. And take note, mula sa veranda sa taas siya pumasok. I should congratulate her later for having applied her ninja moves on my house.

“Is that your girl, Nessaj?” Razor asked trying so hard not to burst out his laughter.

“She’s not my girl!” Nessaj hissed at saka lumabas na ng study room. Naiwang nangingiti naman ang tatlo. Naupo na ulit ako sa inuupuan kong silya at saka pinagpatuloy ang pagbuklat ko sa dyaryo kanina.
