53. The Annihilation

The adrenaline rush. The fear. The anxiety. They all got into me. As my fists gathered so tight, I floundered on the floor and began screaming as the gravity pulling me tripled. It pulled the gut in me. Leaving me nothing but my vulnerable and weak heart. Pakiramdam ko'y hinila nito ang lahat ng ugat ko sa katawan.

The channels started screaming. Tears began to fell as I heard Brittany beg for her pain to stop. The platform started consuming the channels' energy including mine.

Nagsimulang lumindol ng malakas sa buong Delta. Tumigil pansamantala ang bakbakan sa labas ng deportation area dahil sa malakas na lindol.

Sa gitna ng matinding ingay sa paligid at nakakaubos na enerhiyang paghila ng lupa ay biglang bumukas ang lupa kung saan sumusulpot ang highly magnified metallic boxes kung saan naalala kong pinaglagyan saamin noong araw na ipadala kami sa Delta. I remembered Pea and everyone who died since the day I arrived. 

Three huge boxes ascended from down under. Pakiwari ko'y nagsimulang paganahin ng pagsasanib ng enerhiya namin ng mga channels ang deportation area kasama na ang tatlong metal cargoes.

The three boxes released a gravity that pulled all the alius of Delta. Nakita kong hinigop ng malalaking kahon na 'yon sina heneral Rumac, Sheryl, Allen, Kristell, Zia, Reid at iba pang mga alius. Levi struggled to fight the pull but it was too strong that it took him instantly. I heard him scream my name for the last time. The non-alius remained steady.

"Attack the circle!" malakas na sigaw ni Florina na tila desperada na.

All the non-alius around us started creating their different forms of attacks. Sabay-sabay nilang ibinato ang mga nabuo nilang sandata sa gawi ng circular platform. Brittany was too consumed to form us a shield. Napapikit ako nang ilang metro na lang ang distansya ng mga incoming attacks mula sa kalaban. Tatamaan kami!

I did not hear any crack or thud or any sound of destruction. Something or someone covered us from the damning attacks -it was Souk in her giant metallic stone form. Napaigtad pa ito nang paulanan siya ng kidlat ni Quimat. Sunod-sunod. 

"S-Souk no! Save yourself!" mariin kong sumamo habang nakatingin sa mukha ng higanteng si Souk. Her eyes narrowed on me but she remained steady. 

Sumigaw si Souk. Pilit nitong nilabanan ang paghila sa kanya ng deportation boxes. Muling nagpaulan ng pag-atake ang mga kalaban. Souk covered the circular platform like a precious crystal of her own. Naging daing ng sakit ang kaninang sigaw ng babae.

"Please Souk. Don't do this! You deserve to live!" pakiusap ko.

Pero hindi ako pinakinggan ng babae. Nanatili ito sa kinauupuan habang binabalot ng katawan nito ang kinatatayuan namin. Magpapaulan na dapat ng kasunod na atake ang grupo ni Florina na sa tingin ko'y hindi kakayanin ni Souk nang magulat ako sa pagsulpot ng siyam na higante palibot sa kinaroroonan ko. I saw Alec as he approached towards where I stand. "Souk, you've done so much. Leave this to me." Kalmado nitong sabi.

Marahil ay nakumbinsi si Souk na kayang protektahan ni Alec ang platform, mabilis itong bumalik sa dating anyo. Sa sobrang gaan ng katawan nito, wala pang isang segundo'y nahigop na siya ng metallic cargo.

"Crush the giants!" gigil na gigil na untag ni Florina mula sa di kalayuan. Hindi naman siya binigo ng mga kasamahan. Strong random attacks suddenly came everywhere.

Sa gitna ng hindi matigil na paglusob ng kampo ni Florina ay nagawang lumapit saakin ni Alec. His nine clones received the torture and so was he. Napapangiwi ito habang tinatanggap ng siyam niyang higanteng bato ang magkakahalong atake mula sa non-alius army. His tears were gone but the pain was sustained in his eyes. He stood infront without touching me. "If I'd die with this annihilation, I wish to die by your side."

I pursed my lips as sob started coming out from my throat again. "I thank this chaos for sending me to you. I never regret any moment I spent with you despite of all the pain. I love you deathbound."

"I love you eternally... You're in my heart deathbound..." he answered. Then he gazed at me like it was the final moment we have. Our final moment -in flesh. "Complete the annihilation Allison. No matter what happens to me, if ever it turnes me into pieces... my heart is with you. Forever."

Those words concluded everything. The doubt vanished. Like a fire has been lit on a stick and the decision has been made.

I closed my eyes and let the gravity consume me. The nightmare with the five strangers around me is real. Deathbound is real. 

I felt the energy flew outward. The chains came out from all over my body. All the chains hit the non-alius around me; then tangled the system that kept them alive. This is the rogue they've been afraid of. The rogue that kills everyone outside the box. I felt the continues flow of energy coming outside my body and then reaching the wires that connect me to the channels towards the deportation boxes. With my eyes closed, I saw the blinding lights came out from the metals of the circle. The platform almost ate my strength until I remembered letting the nostrum flow across all my flesh.

Napalitan ang sigaw ng mga channels ng isang nakakabinging katahimikan. Hindi ko na sila maaninag dahil nakakabulag na liwanag na dulot ng circular platform. I only saw Alec. Smiling at me. Almost fading.

"It's done Allison... I love you." he whispered and smiled heartfelt. Pagkatapos non' ay nagsimulang malagas ang anyo ni Alec sa harapan ko. Unti-unti. Pira-piraso habang tinatangay ng hangin.

Napipi ako. Tila nasakal sa sakit ng realidad.

Wala na siya.

Wala na si Alec. Tanging nakakasilaw na liwanag na lang ang tumambad sa mga mata ko. Walang gwapong mukha ni Alec. Wala.

Hindi ko naramdaman ang mga luha sa mata ko. Dahil bago pa man tumulo ang mga luha ko'y niyanig na ang lupang kinatatayuan ko. I felt the world beneath me spinning and shaking like it's the end of everything. I heard the cracking of every piece of Delta everywhere. It's done. The annihilation has been accomplished. Delta is falling into shattered pieces. 

I felt myself floating the next moment. I can no longer see anything. But I can feel the strong wind flowing pass me. The gravity underneath my body is pulling me. I was falling. Falling to the ground of Alpha.
