32. DID MANDY HIT YOU?

Nialls POV

I'm at the hotel and going in the elevator to the rented room Harry owns that has he weird babysitter. I hope she is actually nice. I walked up to his room and knocked 4 times

I waited for someone to open the door. The door opened to reveal a short girl who looks around 14 with dull eyes and messy hair. She chewed gum blowing it boringly

"hey, I'm Niall, is Darcy ummm ready?"

"yeah..whatevs "

She brought out the small child gripping her hand that looks like its hurting her. As she let go of her hand it was red but slowly faded to normal

She shut the door on my face...rude

I crouched down to Darcy

"Darcy?" I whispered

She looked up at me. She smiled as a tear ran.

"Uncle Nialler...." she whispered in a raspy voice. She smiled and clung onto me like something was trying to pull her away.

"Darcy...was the babysitter nice???" I slowly asked

She shook her head

"I was told not to tell you." she sighed stilling clinging to me

I nodded. Something is wrong here

We walked to the taxi and went to the station to see Skye

I saw she had a cream coloured smear on her face

I went to whipe it off but she winced.

I dabbed it off with a tissue to reveal a large blue, purple and black painful looking bruise oh my god.

"Darcy!!!......what happened to you" I cried but whispered at the end

"Mandy...is not very nice, I only had bread which makes me hungry, I've had top on for days and she hit me when I was bad." she cried hugging me

Oh my god. We can't let Skye see her like this. The station is next to a mini mall so I can get some foundation stuff for her. We got out and payed. It was around 1:43pm. We went into the store and looked down the isles. There was only one that was her colour and it was very pricey. 16€ (still in Ireland) I bought it and took her to the baby changing room cause it would be weird in the boys or girls bathrooms.

I set her on the table and i got out the make-up. I opened the tub and got out a bit of toilet paper from the bathroom and dabbed a little on her face. It blended in quite nicely. I should be a make-up artist. Hahaha no thanks.

I took a picture before and after make-up and took a video of her saying it was Mandy and that. We got out of the mall toilets and went to the station next door.

We walked in. A lady stood up and asked if I was Niall James Horan.

I nodded and she took us to a room.

We had to put all ours stuff into a machine to scan it and we went through a scanner.

Darcy got scared cause it buzzed and the lady's had to search her only to reveal a small old plaster. We went through into this room to reveal a rectangle table with 3 chairs.

We waited

The lady instructed

"your friend and mother Skarlett will be out shortly" she smiled and left

About 15 minutes later we heard doors opening and moved are heads to the sound. We looked over to reveal two officers holding Skye. She was wearing a normal white t'shirt and baggy blue jeans. She was also wearing boring old trainers and a red vest over the top. Showing she was a prisoner

She looked up and cried on the spot. The men took her over to the chair and left

"MUMMY!!!!!!!" Darcy screamed of happiness

"Darcy!!!!!! Ive missed you so so so so so so so so so much. I wish I didn't leave you. I am so sorry Harry has to look after you but I heard be got a babysitter. I'm so happy your alright!!," she smiled as tears fell.

We talked about random stuff till I needed the loo.

Skye's Pov

Niall went to the bathroom so I got a chance to talk to Darcy alone. She had something on her face. Probably yogurt or some kind of food. I bent over and went to smear it off her geek but she winced. What. Why did she flinch

I set her on the table and took the end of my shirt and gently wiped it off o reveal a massive bruise.

Oh my God.....

Sh looked at me and her eyes where red like she hasn't got much sleep. She's lost weight while I look at her. I was at the edge of tears. I looked at the bruise again and shouted out

"NIALL!!!.....NIALL!!!" I yelled crying and falling to the ground.

He came rushing in to see me and saw that I have seen the bruise. He held me as I cried out

"who touched her"

" I'll kill them"

"who touched my baby"

In came 4 officers worried

Officer Jessie Butler

Officer Oscar Camron

Officer Jermy Dallas

Officer Kathy Hunter

They came to ask us what was wrong whie one tried to pick up Darcy but she jut screamed.

"no...no!...she's fine...don't touch her, you'll hurt her!!" I begged

" please. Tell me what is going on" the officer Demanded

" D-Darcy had a s-smear on her f-f-face and I wiped it o-of to reveal a-a-a bruise, WHO HURT HER!" I whisper yelled

They took Us away into a small room that has a one way glass window ( they can see you but you can't see them)

I was told to remove her clothing to see if there was any more bruises or scars. Niall helped tame her. The officers where watching waiting or the results.

Niall gave evidence to the police about how it was Mandy

I took of her clothes slowly while Niall distracted her talking about ponies

What was in front of me was outrageous

On her face was a large bruise

Her hair was filthy

On both arms where bruises and scabs

Her stomach was just plain dirt

Her legs where covered in dirt and bruises

On her back was a nasty looking massive red hand mark

She stank of dirty clothes and mould.

I cried on the spot. We gave Darcy a toy to distract her while we called the officers in. They where shocked. Kathy looked the worst. She gave me a sympathetic look. We began to ask her questions

"who touched her"

" was the baby sitter nice"

" was it Harry"

" did Mandy hit you" I whispered to her. She looked away with tears in her eyes

" Did Mandy hit you Darcy" I asked a bit louder, I still got silence

"ANSWER ME DARCY!! DID MANDY HIT YOU, YES OR NO??!!!!" I asked

The officers gave me a concerned look

"yes...mummy....."
