Wake Up!~ Chapter 37

(Happy Memorial day to all Americans!)

~Third Person~

Astrid wakes up to Ruffnut shaking her. The blonde had looked up, and grumbled as she rubbed her eyes. Once the fuzziness in her vision subsided, she was met with a panicked and worried looking Ruffnut. Ruffnut's hair was still messy from sleep, but that didn't seem to bother the girl.

"What's the matter?" Astrid asked her friend.

Without speaking, the said girl grabbed Astrid's arm and pulled her out of the comfortable bed, making her stumble. Now that she was standing, she was forced to watch Y/n. The h/c haired girl was laying in her bed, face up. Her eyes were wide open, but she still seemed to be asleep.

That was not the strange thing that struck worry in Y/n's roommates. Y/n was very pale and was jerking in her sleep, as though she were struggling against some unknown force. Tears were streaming down her cheeks and she seemed to be in unbearable pain.

Astrid gasped in shock before ordering Ruffnut to run to Hiccup's and Tuffnut's room to get them. Ruffnut nodded then did as she was told. Without speaking or knocking, she rudely kicked the door open, not really caring about being nice about it.

Both boys jerked awake, and started yelling at the girl.

"Shut up you babies!" She yelled, her rough voice echoing through the building. She grabbed both boy's ears and dragged down the hall to the girl's room, ignoring their complaints. Both froze when they saw Y/n's shaking body. Hiccup scrambled to his feet and ran to his twin.

"Y/n! Y/n!" He called, trying to wake her up. The commotion had awoken some of the Avengers. None of them knew what to do, for their efforts to awaken the girl were useless. That is, until their  yelling and pleas had awoken someone who could help.

"WHAT ARE YOU MORTALS DOING?!" Loki's voice boomed. Everyone turned and made a path for the god to approach Y/n. His eyes narrowed as he scanned his gaze across the girl's shaking form.

"Just a haunting nightmare." He sighs and presses his cold fingers on the girl's forehead. A couple moments later, Y/n's e/c eyes fluttered open. She used her palms to wipe away to wet streaks of tears, before pushing herself up in a sitting position.

Y/n's eyes furrow as she gazes at all of her friends. "S-sorry for worrying you." She apologizes. Hiccup sighs in relief and hugs his sister, in which she returns to gesture. Soon they pull away and Y/n turns to Loki.

"Thank you for waking me up." She smiled happily. Loki rolls his eyes, nods then walks away.
