Nothing much happened. I simply smiled at Xavier and told him to give it a chance. After our little 'date' he took me back home and we watched the basketball game with my family. Which was horrid because every time I felt like screaming at the TV, I would grab my arm hard enough hoping that my excitement would go away. Erix on the other hand seemed odd. He seemed as if he were lost in his own thoughts and then he would return back to earth and yell along with my parents.

Sometimes I'd wish that my family were closer to me. I sometimes feel that I should open up to my mom but I always end up not to because I know that she would just ignore me. The closest thing I have to a mom is my aunt Gomez and in a very weird way, Josh.

As June came around in the matter of days, the Juniors and Seniors were schedule to have a picnic. I wasn't looking forward to this specific event because one, I’m going to find out my next year class would be, two, my brother's teacher's will find out who I am, three my brother is going to throw a fit when everyone finds out I’m his sister and four, I didn't want to find out if I'm going to be captain for the basketball team. I didn't want to. I'm not up for such commitment. Either way it was bound to happen. Another thing about this spectacular event was that there was the traditional game we have to play and this year's game was Tag.

On a sunny day out in the field the whole Senior and Junior class stood eating food and socializing. The teachers roamed around the field making sure there were no misconduct especially when the tension between Ray and Xavier kept most of us watching our backs. Kaya on the other hand seemed to be enjoying her day by constantly flirting with Xavier and his friends along with her other no good friends. Angie and I came up with a new name for Kaya and her friends, the Poop Gang. That also includes Tyson who seemed to be ignoring us...for now.

"That's what Tomas said." Brandon said to Gabe. We were standing near a table that was filled with chips and pizza. Brandon and Gabe were talking about this one game they couldn't pass and apparently Tomas found a cheat. Angie and I were too interested on our pizza as the guys continued to talk.

"Yo Ebony, Erix needa talk." Bob said. I turned around with my mouth full.

"Who?" I asked. Bob rolled his eyes and gave me a disgusted look.

"You."

"Why doesn’t he come here?" I asked as I swallowed my food whole and threw away the trash. Angie grabbed my arm before I started to follow Bob.

"Because he'll kill me if I don't bring you with me and I won't get a recommendation letter to NBA Scouts." I stared at Bob for a moment. I have no idea why I looked at Brandon but all he did was to wave me away. So then I followed Bob to my brother.

Erix was talking to his Senior friends as I approached him with Bob. Many Seniors stared at me as I got closer to Erix and at one point one of them was going to stop me until Bob lifted up his hand to stop him. Erix saw me and made his way to me. He grabbed my arm and pulled to the back of the bleachers.

"Here's the plan for today." He said as he looked around. "When they call for your classes and ask if you're my sister say no." I stared at him.

"Why?"

"That's the plan okay."

"You can't tell me what to do."

"Oh yes I can."

"No you can't. You think you're still captain, you think you control the school but think again."

"Ebony. You can't go around telling people that your my sister!"

"Erix I AM your sister! If you're ashamed of me just say so. God, you're a Senior and graduating in three days."

"Don't make this a problem. Here you're not my sister." I wanted to say something but nothing came out. All I managed to do was to walk away from him and go back to my small group. When I got back Josh patted my back and whispered in my ear.
