I woke the next morning to the sound of Erix's game coming from downstairs. I did my morning business and headed down stairs just to see Erix and Ray arguing about something that I chose to ignore. I almost didn't recognize Ray, he had lost weight. I leaned to the wall and watch them play. For a couple of College freshman I must say, they are still childish.
"Oh shit!" Ray paused the game and got up. "Haven't seen you for a while young Michaels." Ray said. It's true. I haven't seen him for months. Ray continued to stare at me and Erix noticed. He flicked his head and Ray jumped.
"Dude." Erix said seriously.
"What? It's not my fault she's turning into a beautiful young lady."
"You're using adjectives now Ray?" I smiled and headed towards the kitchen.
"That's not nice!" Ray said before getting back to the game.
I poured myself a bowl of cereal and stared off to space just thinking about yesterday. I smiled at the thought, maybe I laughed. I still couldn't believe Xavier kissed me and I kissed him too. I still felt it was a dream but I doubt it. I looked at the living room to see Erix. He would kill Xavier if he found out. Erix likes Xavier and all but it'd be an embarrassment that one of his old close friend kissed his loser ass sister. I kicked the wall just at the thought of it.
I went to the backyard, pulled out a chair and sat there facing the sun. I really don't need to be any darker, but the sun always calmed me down when in doubt. I closed my eyes and just relaxed. I felt something cold on my eyes and I opened them. It was dark and most certainly someone was covering them and I perfectly knew who it was. I pulled the hands away and turned around and smiled.
"And what brings you here?" I asked.
"Visiting." Xavier handed me a rose. Cute gesture but it was a rose from my garden.
"You know I'm trying to grow them!" I said. "Thank you but how the hell did you cut it off without getting stabbed?"
"Umm..."Xavier took out my pair was garden scissors. I couldn't resist but to laugh.
"How desperate are you?" iIasked as I rested my head on his shoulder. He patted my head softly, making me feel alive.
"Not so much." I looked up and he kissed me. I let him because well...why not? that was when I realized that he was at my house.
"Dude!" I pulled away and covered his mouth. "My brother is here and so is Ray! He'll kill you or both of us if he found out!" Xavier smiled under my grip.
"Hm, for your sake." Xavier got up and headed out the small gate that lead to the front yard. "I'll wait until tomorrow." He waved and left. I fell on the grass and sighed. Seriously, one day that boy is going to get into deep trouble if he keeps sneaking around.
Back at school when I headed towards my locker, Angie pulled me by my sleeve and took me to the study hall where no one went in the mornings. She stared at me quite mad but then she squealed.
Angie was a girl that you can easily surprise. She's always eager to know things and eager to learn new things. She can also learn things quickly. That's my flaw, I can't learn quickly like she does unless it's sport related I guess. It's the only thing I relate to Erix.
"Tell me what happened! Sex God does not simply hold hands with no one."
"He...." And so I told her. Her eyes widened and for some odd reason she hugged me. Come on it was just a kiss....I think? I thought about though. It wasn't just any kiss, it was kiss given by someone I had a crush on and by someone I used to hate with all my gut.
