Ken Pov

To say I am surprise at Lily's word will be the understatement of the year. I was left speechless

She have never and I mean never been so bold with her words. She has always been so meek and gentle never for once spoken back at me or my mother like that before

A few minute after she close the door, I crept silently after her till she closed the house gate. I then peeped outside to make sure she really has a date and not just lying.

Imagine my surprise when I saw her hugging a guy who step out of a black Porsche car and the guy kissing her cheek before opening the door for her to step in then driving the car to a destination  unknown to me.

I entered the house with a sign before settling down on a couch.

"Did she really have a date with another man" my mother questioned

"Yes she wasn't lying and they seem to be very intimate with one another" I replied

"That whore she can't even wait to finalize the divorce before jumping other men"

"Are you sure she wasn't even cheating on you before the whole divorce ordeal? My mother questioned

"Of course not I can bet that on my life. She doesn't even go out side not to talk of seeing other men"I defended

"That doesn't matter people change with time"she said grudgingly

"I was her first everything and if there was anyone who changed then it has to be me. She was always loyal" I admitted feeling guilty

"Let just forget this and enjoy this lovely Saturday" she replied before changing the tv channel to a program of her choice

And I just had to drown in my thought

It almost 9pm and she is not back. It not that am worried or anything but she doesn't stay out late.

"Stop pacing around the house like a fool. She will be back after whoring herself around. Moreover she is not a baby she sure can take care of herself" my mother snapped at me

"Amaka,Amaka where is that village girl now" my mother shouted calling out for the new house girl she brought

"Maaaa" the girl shouted from somewhere around the house

"Ma stop all this noise it give me headache, am too young to experience an heart attack" I told her getting irritated

"Whatever you say son" turning to the girl who had just entered the room and now kneeling before her"what have you been doing? Are you done making dinner?

"Hmm Madam the food go ready soon, nah for am to dry remain"the poor girl answered in the popular Nigerian Pidgin English ( The food will be ready soon ma, it just have to steam a little)
