Imagine: before Mary, John was in love with someone else. That someone was you. You and him were happy but you had a secret. You had to move out of the country. John came over to meet your parents and it was a great night. Until you had to spill your secret.
You: "Mom, dad, this is my boyfriend!"
John: "hi I'm john."
Your mom: "well come on in doll. I hope you're fine with the fact I just ordered a pizza. I'm not much of a cooker."
John: "that's great. Thank you Mrs.(y/l/n)."
Your dad: "so has (y/n) told you the big news yet?"
You: "dad!"
John: "what big news?"
You: *sighs* "I-I'll tell you after dinner. Let's enjoy tonight!"

John: "your parents are great."

You: "right. I-I'm moving. Far away. Like out of the country."
