The ship now belonged to the great sea, and the people... They belonged to whatever was down there that took their lives. God, I need to find Christopher...

I walked around the village of the Fijians, or the native people that inhabited the island that the ship was wrecked near. The village Elder, Morako, allowed me to stay here along with other survivors, yet I have less hope of finding Chris... The other survivors of the wreck had made themselves at home, while I couldn't... Not knowing that my best friend could be dead at the bottom of the sea.

My hands were stuck in the pockets, as I walked down the beachside. Trying to collect my thoughts, my mind was rushing in every which way... That's when some of the natives went running past me, some talking in native tongue while others didn't. I watched as a young women came running towards me, the same way the others were. As she went to pass me I grabbed hold of her wrist, making her look at me.

"Excuse me! Hey, hi, what are they saying? What's happening?" I ask, somewhat in panic as she looked at me with large, happy-filled eyes. I couldn't help but feel... Happy about what this is.

"There's another survivor from the crash! They say a विषम जानवर, or a "venomous beast", brought him to shore! He must be a chosen one!" The next thing I know, the girl ripped away from my grip and my heart started pounding against my chest as I began to run along with the people, trying to get into where I saw... Chris.

"Christopher!" I yelled, gently pushing past all of the natives that surrounded the building that held his unconscious body. His body laid on a small cot while the Elder looked him over for injuries as I walked in, I kneeled down on the other side as I brushed his hair out of his face.

"E-Elder, how is he? Will he be alright?" I ask my voice giving off some type of... Concern. The Elder's hands gently hovered above Chris that's when one of his hands stopped, hovering over Chris's left leg... That's when I noticed a large scar, trailing from the top of his ankle and all the way up to his inner thigh.

"My son, Sebastian, was this here on your friend? Before the incident on the ship?" Elder asks, looking at me with curiosity glistening in his eyes. I couldn't help but feel... Worried, yet relieved all at the same time.

"Um, n-not that I remember. No, I'm positive that it wasn't there..." I mumble as the Elder nods slowly, standing with the help of his apprentices', he turned towards the other natives as I stood slowly. He raised his hands, quieting the crowd that surrounded the building.

"My people of Averson, this man-" The Elder motioned towards Chris's fallen body, as I looked down at it also; along with everyone else until he began to speak again.

"Has been chosen to become one with the विषम जानवर! He will live among them, along with living among us! He will give us guidance and a glimpse into what their world is like, how it is to be under the oceans' depth!" He shouted as I shot a look at Chris, I could see his eyes twitch while he was looking around even from under his eyelids.

He's waking up...

"Elder, he's waking from his slumber!" A voice shouted from the crowd, as we both looked to see his eyes' slowly opening. A small glimpse of his eye color made me feel overjoyed, I dropped to my knees and saw him crack this goofy looking smile as he gave a cough that sounded like a laugh.

Slowly he sat up on to his elbow, looking around and giving a small cough again. He turned his head towards me and gave me a curious look as he gave this weird, half-smirk.

"Um, why are there people looking at me like I'm a god...?" He asks as I laugh some as I wrapped one of my arms around his shoulders, giving him a small squeeze-like hug as he coughed again. He tried to push me away and after a while I finally gave in, looking at him with a smirk.

"My dear boy, do you remember anything that happened to you... After the shipwreck?" Elder asks, looking into Chris's eyes as he slowly sat up and rubbed them, almost tiredly. One of his hands moved to the back of his neck, rubbing it as if he was... Shy, or hiding something from me.

"I remember... One, or two things before blacking out. But, why does that matter..?" Christopher asks, looking between myself and the Elder as he nodded and rubbed his small beard slightly.

"What are those things..? Or, would you maybe want to... Talk about this more in private?" Chris looked around, now noticing all of the eyes watching, while the ears were listening making him look... Nervous.

"Um, that would be best, if you ask me... Um, Elder." Chris mumbled the last part, as I looked at him with a slightly confused look, would he let me come too, or would it be just bad..? Chris slowly rose from the cot, along with the help from me as I held him up and walked with the Elder towards his home.

- Christopher -

After Sebastian helped me into the Elder's home, I sat down on the small cot across from the older man. I couldn't help but feel... Safe here, I guess it's because I didn't want to be in sight of the people. I sat there in quiet as the Elder poured a cup of.. Tea? I assume as he handed me a cup of the steaming liquid, all I know is that... I was parched.

"My boy, I need you to tell me what you saw in those few moments before you blacked out... What were they?" The man asks, taking a sip of the liquid before him as I did so also, after that I took a deep breath and began to tell the whole story.

"And the last thing I remember was seeing this... Large beast, almost as large as the boat we were on, begin to start swimming towards me. A large blood pool surrounding me and when I looked down I saw my leg was bleeding- badly at that... And when I looked down, I saw a blue. " I paused, trying to catch my breath as I took a small sip of the tea as it helped clear my throat.

"A blue what..?" The Elder asked as I looked up from the foaming cup that had small herbs floating around in there. I took a deep breath, looking up at him with eyes filled with caution and seriousness.

"I saw a blue tail attached to this beautiful women with long, brunette hair along with this scar on her left shoulder..." I say as he looks at me with large eyes, along with a large smile. What that meant... I don't have a clue, but I have a very strong feeling that...

I was about to find out...
