I looked out onto the open ocean, using my hand to shade my darkened eyes from the bright sun that reflected off the sparkling sea. Suddenly, a vibrating came from my pocket as I dig into the denim and pulled out my burner phone.

"Ah, I'm assuming this is Mr. Durn?" I nearly shouted into the phone as I squinted one of my eyes, trying to keep the sun from blinding me.

"Yes, and I'm assuming this is Sebastian, the mermaid hunter?" I could hear the sarcasm in his voice as I rolled my eyes and grinned, trying to hide the fact that my blood was boiling.

"Yes, indeed it is. Now, are you meeting me at the coordinates that I've sent you, or are you not wanting to become the billion air you've always wanted to be?" I sarcastically replied as I heard him scoff on the other side of the speaker.

"We'll meet at the coordinates, you twit. I'll have the money ready upon our arrival." And with that he hung up. I couldn't help but smirk in triumph as I sat back down in the small row boat, setting the phone next to me as I grabbed my shoe and slammed it down against the thing- it bursting into millions pieces.

After doing so, I began to remove the rest of my clothing, feeling the gentle breeze around my flesh as I stood in the open- just before falling forward, allowing the great blue to overtake my body... That's when the pain began to spread throughout my abdomen and legs...

- Christopher -

"We need to think of something- and fast." My voice came out as a forced choke, as Rayne bared her teeth before grabbing the iron bars; the long poles suddenly turning to a orange, red color as they became to bend at her mercy. Adam and I stared in slight amazement, as she allowed an exhausted sigh to leave her lips.

"Goddamn, you are some kind of miracle, Rayne." I laughed, wrapping one arm around her as I quickly swam up the stairwell- leaving Adam and Rayne behind as I looked around the corridor, trying to figure out where the chapel was again.

That's when tons of yelling began- my chest had this somewhat tight feeling, as I stared wide-eyed. It's done... It's over.. She's.. She's married... And it's not to me- Suddenly, my bicep was grabbed and my body was yanked backwards. My body suddenly slammed against another one, quickly spinning on me tail that's when I felt my chest slam against another one- only this one had two lumps.

"Ow! What the hell! What is the big idea as-"

"Serenity?!" I quickly spoke, as I reached forward and wrapped my arms around the figure that pressed against my own- I shot out my arms, quickly wrapping them around her petite figure as she allowed a small cry of fright, as I nuzzled my face into her thick hair as I felt her shaking arms wrapping around my shoulders- that's when I felt her body head move out from under my chin; I moved my face back so that I could look down at her.

Her slightly hot breath fanned onto my lips as the water between us became hot, our bodies pressed tightly together. The way her head slowly reached forward as I leaned down, as the very tip of her bottom lip just barely scrapped my own lip, that's when the small door was thrown open and there stood- "Lotus?!"

Serenity swam towards her as I stood there with a slight frown on my lips as I swam after her, the only thoughts in my head, 'really? Can I not get one kiss?!' I swam next to her as the two girls embraced each other, as Lotus looked up at me and slowly nodded, I couldn't help but gently smile.

"H..How- What happened?" Serenity's voice was choked as she gave a pitiful smile as Lotus gently grinned before turning towards me, taking my large, calloused hand in her own petite one as she took hold of Serenity's small one; placing it in my palm as I looked down at the girl that.. That I fell for, more than I ever thought I would...

"I- or, we decided that everyone deserves a happy wedding day.. Especially since, you know, you almost married a tyrant.." Lotus grinned as her eyes darted between Serenity and I, before I caught the hint... Quickly, I pulled gently on Serenity's wrist as she looked up at me with tears brewing in her gorgeous dark eyes.

"Christopher.." Serenity's voice was a small whisper, as I smiled down at her as I placed my other hand on her cheek, gently stroking it as I leaned down and... And the moment was perfect. My lips gently caressed Serenity's as she stayed still for a second- but, quickly her own lips leaned into the motion. I could feel her lips gently pulse against my own as we sipped at each other's lips- I moved my hand up to where it caressed her chin, leaning it up some as I recaptured her lips.

I slowly pulled away, still feeling the velvet touch of her rosy lips still on my own as I grinned like a mad man, that's when a loud scream caught our attention. Still holding Serenity's hand, we looked at each other then looked at Lotus as she held up her balled fist, giving us one nod as we all took off swimming towards the shouting and yelling.

- Serenity -

I... I just kissed Christopher- and I mean, a real kiss... Oh, Irene.. Lotus, Christopher, and I came to a sudden halt as we stood in the large doorway of the alter, and seating area. The chairs were turned over and a few... Few dead bodies laid on the ground as I slipped my hand from Chris's, I quickly swam to the bodies- nothing remained...

"That bastard.." I hissed, feeling the burning in my eyes worsen as I looked over to see the large doors on the balcony wide open as the screaming erupted louder from outside. Looking over my shoulder to Lotus and Christopher, I felt my heart skip a large beat as I grinned.

"Lotus, go find anything that will help us fight.. Christopher, go find Rayne, we're going to need her for this-" I began to swim away when my wrist was grabbed, my body stopped as I floated in the heavy sunlight as I looked down to see Chris holding tightly onto my wrist.

"No, I'm going with you, Serenity." Chris's voice held desperation as I looked at him with slowly softening eyes. Slowly I lowered my body to where I floated eye level with him, reaching up I laid my small hand on his cheek before rubbing my thumb over a small scar.

"No.. No, you aren't, Chris. And you're not going to fight me on this, because... Because, we love each other too much.. And don't worry.. I promise to come back- maybe scarred but, I'm coming back." I whispered as I leaned forward, pressing my lips against his own as I slowly pulled away- my eyes looking up into his own as I inhaled deeply.

"I love you, Christopher..." I whispered, as my lips pulled into a grin before a single tear dripped past my eyes as I turned around quickly and took off outside, my hands clenched fists as I swam high above the balcony to see the city in ruins and.. Him.

"Berwin! Stop this madness! And if you are to fight anyone.. It's going to be me, bastard."
