"So, what's the plan again?" Chris asked as I looked around a few more corners as I grabbed his wrist and pulled him into a small room as a few guards swimmed by.

"Seriously, you and Serenity are going to be a perfect couple. Anyway, the plan is you're going to go to the highest peak where you can still see the ceremony and get to the floor as fast as possible- Do you understand, Chris?" I spoke slowly as he stared at me, quickly he nodded and I honestly didn't feel very confident in our plan but... But it was something at least.

"Good-" I started to leave before turning back towards him and hugging his torso as he looked down at me surprised.

"Don't do something stupid... Serentiy will need you after today, I can feel it." I spoke softly before exiting the small closet like room and off into the danger zone I went... My thoughts locked on hope, and Irene pure luck...

- Serenity -

"Let me go you... You bastards!" I shouted at the Altona guards as I struggled against their tight grip. Suddenly my body was tossed forward as I looked around the small bedroom as I looked up to see-

"You..? What in the name of Irene!" I shouted as the door slammed shut, now leaving the two of us alone.

"Hello, my soon-to-be! Now, how's your new tail treating you? I hope it's not tripping you, it's looks very-" Berwin paused his snide comment and looked my body up and down; I could practically feel my skin crawl.

"Nice." He clicked his tongue as he went to move towards me; I backed away as I bit my tongue to not spit in his eyes as he looked at me with confused eyes.

"Oh, don't look at me like that you... You bastard! This marriage is idiocy! What do you even hope to gain from this arrangement!?" I screamed as I snarled my teeth as my clenched fist stayed at my hips while my tail flicked back and forth impatiently, might I add.

"My dear Serenity, I can look at you however I want since you are my bride- or, better yet my soon-to-be wife! Oh, please, I'm probably the only man that would ever marry you, anyhow!" Berwin paused his rant and moved closer towards me, as I backed away slightly trapped between four walls and a hard place-

"And what do I hope to gain? What do I hope to gain!? I hope to gain the mere hold of this kingdom that your family has ran into the sea floor! I would be a better king than your father has been, and I would be a better ruler than you would ever be!" He shouted as I stood there with my arms crossed over my chest as I moved my head so much that the shells in the crown sitting on my head shook.

"You really think that I will let you take my kingdom..? Well, guess what my soon-to-be, if we are to be wedded then as soon as those vows are said-" I paused and moved closer, holding confidence in ever step as I stopped to where I was almost right in his face as he stared at me with anger boiling behind his eyes.

"I will make you suffer in ways that you've never thought possible." My chest was rising and falling as fast as my heart was beating as I stared up at him, straight in his eyes... All I could see was hard, cold stones that laid were his eyes were suppose to be, suddenly the bedroom door flew open revealing two more Altona guards walked in, grabbing hold of my arms as they began to drag me away as the sound of church bells began to ring throughout the kingdom.

"Pity that we couldn't finish our chat, Berwin! I guess I'll see you at the altar!" I screamed as they forced me down the corridor with spears at my throat and back as their grips grew harder around my forearms. I gave a small struggle yet I barely fought back as I felt the prick of something cold against my back and the back of neck as I took a deep breath as I looked over my shoulder.

That's when I was thrown into the sacred ceremonal room, my side slammed against the quartz finished flooring as I looked up to say something but the guards had already slammed the large door shut. I sighed as I slowly rose from the ground and looked around, the room had been filled with flowers and curtains around the large open balconey. Moving towards the closed doors I looked out on the kingdom as I watched the citizens rejoyce in what they thought was a happy relationship...

"I can't let them become slaves to that... That tyrant and his mother." I whispered as I gently place a hand on the glass as I stared out among the kingdoms' jewels that lived among the great barrier. I watched as the people ran into the kingdom, my tail switched back and forth as I closed my eyes and inhaled deeply, only to exhale quickly.

I turned around and looked around the room, my eyes began to water as I studied the room that surrouned me as I waltzed over towards the lace like curtains as I placed my hand against them, gently drawing the small details in the piece of fabric. Suddenly something glittered in my eye thus making me flinch away from the glistening area, slowly I moved towards it and saw the... The small statue that made for my mother a year after she went missing stood there as I walked towards I felt more tears develop in my eyes as I gently placed my hand on the statue.

"Irene... Why can't you be here during all of this? To stop it... To tell someone that it's idiotic to put your only daughter through it. Yet you're still gone- even in spirit, I do not feel you." My voice shook as I sighed as my hand fell from the smooth stone as I wandered to the middle of the room as I slowly sat down; looking down as I closed my eyes and sat my hands in my lap.

Who would've thought that my wedding day would turn out to be the day I might lose my kingdom...
