I stood in the guest bedroom that Cedric allowed me to stay in while I waited for Serenity to come to the quarters. My mind was running with different thoughts, will she even agree to this marriage? How will Serenity take this seeing me? Even more on my mind is will she fall in love with me like mom planned?"

Suddenly the bedroom door slammed open revealing guards from Altona dragging the princess by her arms as her tail slightly dragged across the floor that's when they tossed her onto the ground making me look at them with a stern face, they only scoffed and slammed the door closed.

I rolled my eyes and moved forward, crouching down next to her as she coughed and shook her head gently. She sat up slowly as a small groan left her, I stood up some and gave her some space.

"Hey, how are you feeling?" I asked as she looks up at me with somewhat a hard look, only to sigh and slowly get up from the ground.

"Well, taking that I was just dragged from the dungeons upstairs, and now to wake up and see a strange man standing above my sleeping figure- I'm fine." She sighed as she began to comb her fingers through her matted looking hair, that's when I noticed she had some scars that were slowly healing on her left arm and one long one across her stomach.

"What are those from?"

"None of your business-" She spat some as she turned around, hiding them away. I felt awful now... She looks like she's been through rough times and I just asked something that might be personal. Inhaling and exhaling quickly I moved to where I was a little further away from her.

"Look, I'm sorry-" I started when she turned around and looked at me with the eyes of my mother's minions... She moved closer to me and grabbed my throat holding me in the air as my mother's voice came out of her throat.

"Don't let her have dominance, you idiot! If she sees that she can control what you do, then we will have no choice but to dissipate this kingdom from existing." My mother screeched from Serenity's body as I slammed my hand onto her hand that held my throat.

"Fine! Just leave her alone, I'll make sure that everything goes according to plan. But how am I suppose to woo her when you are in her body, in control?" I asked while my mother lightly scoffed only to cross her arms as she sighed and nodded.

"Alright, I'll release her- but when I come to Mercadonia it better be in your hands when I get there." And with that... Serenity's body crumpled to the floor as I watched a black cloud leave her body and leave through the open balcony. I watched as it disappeared and I moved to Serenity's unconscious body.

"Serenity? Serenity, wake up!" I yelled as she groaned once again, her eyes slowly opening to reveal these... Gorgeous black jewels as they slightly sparkled from the sun light from above that shone in from the balcony.

"How do you feel?" I asked as she slowly sits up and rubs her head once more, as she inhaled somewhat sharply.

"Um, better? I think- Why does my body feel so empty though?" She whispered as I gave a no humor-filled laugh as I leaned back onto my tail.

"Well, let's just say that my mother's dark magic over took your body with a thought in mind to make you fall hopelessly in love with me so that she may take over Mercadonia through our arranged marriage." I rubbed the back of my neck as I tried to form the words correctly, that's when I stopped and looked at her finally... She looked so angry.

- Serenity -

I'm enraged.

I got up from the ground as he looked at me somewhat sheepishly. My hands in a fist at my sides as my eyes burned in the back of my head, I shook my head some as I shook off the feeling. Inhaling deeply as I rubbed my temples trying to think of something to say. That's when a burst of anger over took me.

"Are you so naive that you would actually go along with this?!" I yelled as he looked taken aback, as I moved away from him towards the balcony to see that we were in the furthest room up. I could see guards from Altona surrounding the area, along with guards from Mercadonia.

"It's not like I had a real choice, you hussy!" He spat as I looked at him with angered eyes as I moved closer towards him as I was almost touching my chest to his bare one. I couldn't help but snarl at him as I tried to keep eye-to-eye contact with him.

That's when I took his words into thought... Trying to push past the hussy remark.

"What do you mean? You're the prince, you have a choice in what happens to your soon to be kingdom." I scoffed as he exhaled, he slowly opened his eyes as he looked down at me that's then when I noticed that his eyes held this... Weird blue sparkle in them.

"Just because I'm the prince, and soon to be king... That doesn't mean that my mother doesn't want the power over Mercadonia. She only wants us to be married because if Altona can take the calling of Mercadonia's soon to be queen then no one will be able to take our kingdom-"

Berwin spoke quietly as the blue twinkle in his eyes suddenly disappeared, I couldn't help but feel... Sorry for him. His life sounds like my own... Being forced to forget what little of a childhood and teenage years we had only to be put into royalty school for Irene knows how long...

Only to find out that we have to get married, just minus the love...

My thoughts had pulled me away, I looked up to see him in a fallen state. I inhaled and moved forward, holding my hands against my back as I put one hand on his shoulder thus making him look up down at me with confused eyes as I sent him a small smile.

"Listen, we need to come up with a plan for- Something... I can't marry you, even if it is for the sake of our kingdoms... I'm in love with someone else and he will always have my heart, the only problem is-"

"Is that our parents are going to allow that... I met with your father and he even says the same thing as my mother, which is the worst thing that could happen..." He sighed as he moved past me, settling onto the coral sofa that sat on the quartz flooring.

"You just don't understand Berwin, I can't go along with this! I... I love that man to death." I whispered, I felt as if I was talking more to myself than Berwin now. I stood there as I felt tears start to develop in my eyes, I took the back of my wrist and wiped my eyes off quickly.

"You know, you aren't the only one who doesn't want to do this! My lover has to watch me marry some spoiled princess just because my mother is making me do it!" Berwin suddenly spat as I looked at him with burnt cheeks and somewhat large eyes.

"You don't have to anything! You could've been a man and stand up against her, but no-"

"What about you?! Why didn't you go against your fathers' wishes, huh answer me that!"

"Because I left the barrier for almost a week, only to be brought back by two of my own guards that had stabbed the man that I love right in front of me, and I couldn't do anything because I was-"

"Was what?!"

"Scared!" My voice had screamed out as I clenched my jaw and fists tightly before looking up at him feeling my heart pounding harder and harder against my chest. Small gasps of hot breath exited out of my parted lips as I tried to calm my breathing.

Berwin looked at me with somewhat of hurt eyes, only to quickly look away and focus his eyes onto the floor as I moved to where my back was pressed against the quartz wall, my back sliding down it as I curled my tail under my butt as I rested my head on to my hands as I heard him clear his throat; thus making me look up.

"It doesn't matter anymore, we're going to be married tomorrow morning and there's nothing we can do about it... So, get some rest... Honey.
