Annie POV
About 3 and a half hours later, I now sit in the gym lobby while icing my ankle. All day i've felt this weird way and I just feel out of it. That definitely showed when I slipped up on my beam dismount and landed almost sideways on my ankle before falling to the ground. It made a loud snap that i'm pretty sure everyone could hear. It felt a lot worse then that time when i sprang my ankle at gym, like a lot worse. So, right now, i'm sitting here, clutching my foot, crying, and waiting for Matt. My coach was just sitting out here with me while on her phone. My foot was turning a purple-ish color and it was quickly swelling. I was mostly crying because it hurts like heck, but partly because I was a little scared about the way my foot looks and what is gonna be wrong. "Annie! What happened?" Matt ran in from the door. I turned around and looked at him and he rushed over in front of me. "I-I...fell o-off the bea-m." I struggled to get out as I tried to control my breaths. Why me? Why today? Ugh. "Okay, okay. We're gonna drive up to the ER and see what's up with it. Come here." He held his arms out. I nodded, still bawling, and reached to his arms. He held me like a baby, and nodded his head to my coach. "Thanks, I will let you know when we find out." She smiled at his remark and nodded. "Good luck!" she walked back into the gym. Matt carried me outside and into the car. He sat me down sideways, so my whole body was on the seat. About 5 minuets later, although it seemed like 5 hours, we pulled into the big hospital parking lot. Matt turned off the car, grabbed the keys, and came around to get me out. The pain had basically gotten worse, it felt almost like it was throbbing. Matt picked me up again and we headed into
the hospital.

2 hours and 8 x-rays later, I broke the lower part of my fibula in two places and the lower part of my tibia, three clean breaks. I'm going to get it all wrapped up with crutches until Monday, when I'll get surgery. Then, I have to get a soft cast for a few weeks, then I'll need a hard cast, then a boot, then wrapped, then finally back to normal. Point of the story, I will still have crutches when we start to film again. Matt already talked to the producers, and they have to write me into the script with a broken leg. He also already called my mom, my coach, and Rebecca. My mom is gonna see if she can get in town before my surgery, and Rebecca is gonna come meet us here. I'm waiting for the nurse or whoever to come in and wrap my foot up for the weekend, then i'll be back on Monday at 5:45 am for my surgery. Isn't that just great?
