We all know that before Chiron became the teacher of heroes and what not, he was pretty much a loner because he couldn't fit in with the other centaurs since he was born differently. Well during his time wandering Greece as a loner it was very common for him to run into female centaurs, now the problem with female centaurs or Centaurides as they are more commonly known by, is that......they are aggressive as fuck. No one knows why or how, they're just more serious, proud and aggressive than their male counterparts, they are always armed to a T with weapons, even if they're doing something casual like bathing, think of the Amazons, add the coldness of the Hunters of Artemis, aggressiveness of all of Ares' kids and multiply that by 100, that was the Centaurides. Anyway the first time Chiron ran into a tribe of Centaurides, he just smiled awkwardly and tried to scoot by very calmly but he just ended up getting his ass beat for no reason, so after he managed to get away he continued on wandering, and continuously got his ass beat by tribes of Centaurides because of this he couldn't marry a Centauride, so that's how he ended up marry his wife, who is a nymph.
One day Dionysus and Chiron's wife Chariclo, asked Chiron why he chose Chariclo, after Chiron explained the whole ordeal with the female centaurs, Chariclo says very casually "Oh it's probably because they thought you were there to steal their daughters" from that very statement Chiron turned redder than Cinnabar
