Chapter 38
• • •On our way down to the beach, I felt extremely bubbly. At first I couldn't figure out why I was in such a good mood, but then I remembered who I woke up with today.
Scarlett, Savannah, and I were carrying our chairs and towels. Ashton was carrying the bags, Kevin was carrying his chair and the football, and Eli was carrying his and Ashton's chairs.
When we set our stuff down, I let out a breath of relief. As soon as I plopped down in my chair, Scarlett and Savannah took off their coverups and began to run to the water. Kevin, Eli, and Ashton sat down with me.
"Do you guys think that the ice cream truck will be driving by here any time soon?" Kevin asked, looking around as if he was anticipating something.
"Dude you're so whipped," Eli said and chuckled as he took a sip of his beer.
"Nuh-uh!" Kevin defended, extremely child-like, might I add. I let out a little laugh.
"Keep telling yourself that ice cream boy," Eli said and stuck his bottle in place in the sand.
"As hot as she was, I don't think that I'm the whipped one here," Kevin said and eyed Ashton and I. I could feel myself tense up, and I couldn't help but take a peek at Eli, who seemed slightly confused. However, when he realized what Kevin meant, his face fell even though I could tell he was trying to hide his emotions.
"Well uh, I'm gonna go join them in the water," Eli smiled and began to walk away. Ashton glared at Kevin, and I just sat there not knowing what to do.
A couple seconds later, another group of teenagers came and set their stuff down right next to ours. The group consisted of 5 extremely attractive girls, and 4 extremely attractive guys.
The beach had officially become one big Calvin Klein photo shoot. (I was the beach ball in the corner). I caught Kevin eyeing the group of girls, and I snickered silently as I took a swig of my beer. Just then I noticed the guys.
When I tell you that they were attractive, I mean attractive. They were almost as god-like as Ashton, Kevin, and Eli... but at the same time not even close. They probably had the personalities of a rock.
4 really hot rocks..
Even though I was completely and utterly falling for Ashton, I couldn't help but look at their muscles. They were captivating to be honest. Apparently Kevin caught me staring.
"Crystie's got a crush.." Kevin sang. I glared over at him.
"They've been here for like 5 seconds," I retaliated.
"I mean they're all very hot- the girls I mean," Kevin paused. "And the guys actually," he added. I held back a laugh.
"Do you like guys?" I asked casually.
"Do baby seals flap their flippers when they're born?" He replied, and I blinked at him.
"I have no fucking idea, Kev," I replied, not even having the slightest clue as to what he meant.
"Me neither," he patted me on the shoulder and then cracked open his drink. I chuckled, and mentally patted him on the shoulder as well.
A couple minutes later, Kevin and Ashton got up to go down to the water with the others, and I told them that I would catch up with them.
At this point in time, three of the boys were in their chairs. The girls and one of the guys had left for some reason. As I walked by, I heard somebody whistle. I spun around, I already wanting to punch them in their extremely attractive faces.
