Imagine:

Kira never left. Scott and Kira are just a cute romantic couple throughout the rest of their senior year.

Kira supports Scott going to college and taking care of animals. Yet Kira takes a gap year. Against her parents wishes but Scott supports her.

Malia and Kira travel the world during that year. Yet she comes back once every two months to visit Scott for a weekend.

The next year Kira ends up at college an hour away from Scott and she doesn't major on anything yet but it didn't matter.
