Archie knew Veronica was "wealthy" and had no idea where to take her on a date. So he had Betty find out for him.
Veronica didn't want anything fancy. So Archie ended up taking her to his favorite pizza place in Riverdale. It wasn't the nicest but it had amazing pizza and the two were happy anywhere together.
