SUMMER HAD SOON come to an end, as it was now time for Ron, Harry and I to return to Hogwarts, along with a lot more other students. Mrs. Weasley began revving up the engine on her car before trundling out of the backyard.

I still couldn't help but think about that day in Diagon Alley, when I had seen Elphias with his mother. Although he was rude, and most certainly obnoxious, I couldn't help but feel quite bad for him.

Nobody deserves to get beaten up.

It wasn't long until Fred had unexpectedly blurted out that he'd left his broomstick at home, and Ginny shrieked that she'd left her diary behind too. Molly had no choice but to turn the car around and head back to The Burrow, so that the two of them could collect the things they needed.

We were running very late, and tempers were running high.

At around ten to eleven, we had reached Kings Cross Station. Mr Weasley scurried across to the other side of the road to collect trolleys for each of our trunks. Once he'd handed me a trolley, I placed my trunk inside, along with Picatrix who was peacefully sleeping in her cage, unknowingly ignoring all the commotion.

All of us then dashed into the station.

"Alright, Percy first." Molly said as her eyes were fixated on the clock overhead. Percy nodded, before gripping tightly onto his trolley and vanishing through the brick wall. Mr. and Mrs. Weasley went next, soon to be followed up by Fred, George, and Ginny.

"We should all go together." Ron suggested cleverly. "We only have a minute until the train leaves!" Perfectly confident, the three of us walked towards the wall, gathering speed. We were only a few feet way until —

Crash.

All three trolleys bounced harshly against the brick wall, which caused Harry to stumble off his feet, Ron to hit his face against the ground, and for me to go flying. Picatrix, surprisingly, was still fast asleep in her cage.

Hedwig, not so much.

"What on earth are you three doing?" A few people yelled in chorus, while others just stared down at our failed attempt of getting to the platform. Harry just about managed to lift himself off the ground and back onto his feet.

He wafted away the dust that was clung to his trousers. "Sorry, lost control of the trolley." He replied with utter embarrassment. People around us kept shooting poisonous glares, until they finally left to continue with their day.

"Why can't we get through?" I hissed over to Ron, who seemed slightly woozy after having an unpleasant encounter with the concrete below. "We're going to miss the train, I don't understand why the gateway sealed itself." I lifted myself off the ground, before I proceeded to help Ron do the same.
