My Outer Space

I believe in my mind, my outer space.

Where I can see and follow the North Star shining bright and bold,

telling me what I need to be told.

Constellations that comfort me to my highest point,

revealing my true image of who I am and always will be.

Occasional comets to wish upon and smile,

taking my time to enjoy the pleasant moment.

Daring to fly past Earth and the whole solar system,

to take a chance upon a greater future.

Visiting Mercury on the way,

seeing how despite lack of size the planet stays within the crowd tall and proud.

Seeing my dear ones in the stars,

dead or alive.

Respecting the view,

grateful to be lucky to see and have what other's don't.

Trying to reach Pluto with all my might,

yet unable to quite reach from all this distance remaining to travel.

Still patiently waiting and doing what I can all my strength,

delayed but eventually reaching this magnificent sight.

Holding someone's hand,

with trust that I will be saved when I will require help.

Yet if alone on this journey,

keep floating without lack of confidence and inspiration.

Never holding a grudge,

for all it will do is burden my heart with dread and regret.

Admiring the stars and experiencing amazement,

yet remembering to keep planning and attempting to fulfill my next goal after another.

This is what I tell myself everyday.

And it's only because of my outer space mind,

that I am still standing tall and proud.
