Her eyes.
Holds secrets never told.
Emotions that are never exposed.
I see the courage.
Passion in her soul.
The fire in her heart.
The reason why she's not torn apart.
Struggling day by day.
Without falling away.
I see the pain.
Wishes left unfulfilled.
Getting motivation by looking at her scars.
What she has left to see.
What she has left to do.
Inflicting herself more pain everyday.
I see hope.
Just a small ray of sunshine.
Brightening her mind just few inches away.
Just barely holding on to a thread.
Knows it can be a fib.
But she goes on depending on this tiny firefly.
I see leadership.
Afraid to speak up.
Despite what she can do.
Every moment.
Reflecting back to one mistake.
And not speaking up for what she might do this time.
Her eyes look normal.
But there is much more than you can see.
Deep in those eyes.
