If Only

If only.

I didn't take a walk.

I didn't get kidnapped.

I wouldn't be in the trunk of the car blindfolded.

Banging my head over and over again.

If I knew this would happen.

If only.

I knew what was going on.

I convinced her it's okay.

I adapted to the fact.

The fact that I should act better.

If I knew this would happen.

Maybe then.

She wouldn't storm towards me.

Grabbing me by my collar.

Spotting a silver reflection in her belt.

A blade maybe?

Spitting with disgrace in my face.

"I've been waiting for this day.

For such a long time.

When I get my revenge.

And taste that sweet victory".

Her smirk so vile.

As if the old Daisy never existed.

The pitch black blindfold is removed.

My eyes shocked to see the light filter in.

Since I was unprepared.

Just like how I was shocked.

Discovering my surrounding.

The daze that sent me into a quiet dread.

A cliff.

One step from falling.

The green trees and tiny stream.

Looks so beautiful only when far away.

"This is the end", she says with glee.

And I fall, my wail unheard and swept with the wind.
