As the sun rose, I woke up slowly to the light in my small apartment bedroom I was excited to spend a couple of days off with Zoe. I felt guilty for a second as I remembered my family and Andrews I hadn't even thought about them for a while I was so immersed into this undercover life. Rules stated we could only have very minimal contact with family. Contact was only allowed in emergency circumstances.

The fresh smell of coffee helped to refresh me and wake me, I sat on the balcony and enjoyed my coffee in the fresh breeze, Zoe joined me and we had breakfast on our balcony. We didn't talk we just sat and stared out at the beautiful river. Zoe could tell I was still upset about Andrews.

"Okay, Alex what are we going to do today? We have two well deserved days off,"

"What about a boat ride at that big park everyone talks about?"

"That sounds awesome we could go and check that old building out, the Minster?"

"Yes, that sounds perfect Zoe,"

We got dressed excitedly and headed toward the York minster building.

It was as perfect as when I first laid my eyes on the historic building, crumbly and jagged stones sticking out here and there but still forming a beautiful structure so large and in your face. I touched the cold stone and ran my hand across the old building I tried to imagine the history of all the people that had done the same.

Zoe was excited about her boat ride she had never been on a boat as London was the only place she had ever known. I had been on boats a lot as a child fishing with family.

"I'm so excited Alex, do you know how to drive this thing?"

"Yes, Zoe I will do the steering leave it to me,"

We sailed down the river Ouse slowly in our little red boat seeing all the old sights, as we sailed I couldn't help but notice all the holes in the large gates around the city, there were so many, everyone had said how different this city was there were so many holes across the river it was easy to get in and out here by boat or a long swim. I could see the Officials were working on it with small Build Bots fixing them slowly. As we sailed further, I could see there was a lot more peacekeeper presence because of the security issues.

After our boat ride, I suggested we went to the bar that I knew for a glass of wine to finish our lovely day together. Zoe walked into the bar and couldn't help but stare at all the rich Officials standing at the bar in their rich suits, "Over this way Zoe"

We hustled our way to the bar and waved over at Ash to serve us. "Hi Kat, no Amanda today"

"No this is my sister Chloe,"

"Chloe nice to meet you I'm Ash," Zoe smiled at Ash with her cheeky grin.

"Hi Ash, could we get two glasses of your finest white wine please?"

"Of course ladies coming up,"

Zoe and I sat outside in the front of the bar where the lovely chairs overlooked the river and the old historic buildings and we enjoyed just doing nothing for once.

Just behind us were some men arguing loudly, pushing and fighting. "Alex, what's going on?"

"I don't know but let us move out of the Way" The men started fighting, Ash came out to try to break it up but instead a peacekeeper came running over from nearby. The surveillance must be good around here. Zoe and I didn't want to cause any extra attention so we blended in with the crowd and watched.

The peacekeeper was working alone usually we always came in twos it was procedure. I watched as the peacekeeper sorted the men out and handcuffed them all to the chairs and called for backup. The crowd moved in front of me so I couldn't get a proper look at what was going on so I gave up and went back to the bar to get a drink. Zoe came in a few minutes later.

"Alex that was so good to watch that peacekeeper did an awesome job"

"Good they deserved it those fools,"

"Hey, girls, same again,"

"Can I get a cup of tea please Ash," Zoe fluttered her eyelashes at him.

"Two teas coming up ladies" Ash laughed to himself as he walked away. I was probably the only person to set foot in a wine bar and order a cup of tea.

We sat and chatted to a couple of guys at the bar. As I was talking, I felt a tap on my shoulder, I just shrugged it off as some drunk but then again I could hear someone behind me, curiosity got the better of me.

"Excuse me" As I turned it was like time had stood still for that brief moment. I could see those eyes only centimetres away from my eyes, like a tropical ocean they hypnotized me staring into the open sea my cheeks went a shade of deep red.

"Hi madam, I just have a few questions about the men outside?" I couldn't believe it was Tyler standing right in front of me only just hours after I had found out about him and he was a peacekeeper.

"Um hi sir, yes how can I help?" He laughed at my reaction and asked if I witnessed what they had been arguing about or why the fight started.

"No, I didn't see anything I'm sorry I can't be of more help! But you peacekeepers have a lot of cameras about maybe you can catch it on there?"

"That's no problem thank you for your time miss, and yes we do have a lot so be careful!" He winked at me as he spoke.

"The names Kat nice to meet you" I looked at Tyler's scar on his right cheek and it was quite attractive, it made him seem manlier.

"Nice to meet you, Kat I'm Tyler, I just need to scan everyone before I leave, enjoy your night won't you". I could see why we would match physically at least, he was tall and strong He held my arm and scanned it quickly then moved onto the next person.

I looked over at Zoe and whispered...

"You just met my soul mate, apparently"

Zoe made a funny noise almost snorting her drink from her nostrils!

"What? I can't speak right now Alex,"

We both giggled like two young school girls. More peacekeepers turned up and scanned everyone for security.

That night my mind struggled to process all the information I had taken in that day, I couldn't lie to myself I think I had a small crush on Tyler. I had never had a proper crush on anyone before apart from Andrews but I didn't know how I felt about him until we kissed. With Andrews, it was love. I wanted to spend the rest of my life with that man from the moment we met. I don't think anyone could measure up to him again.

Nothing made sense anymore, I was slowly losing hope that we would ever be together again. Maybe he really was dead and I need to move on.
